We don’t often hear politicians apologize, and even less often in song.
Nick Clegg – UK Deputy Prime Minister – says he’s sorry for his party’s inability to keep its ‘no-tuition fee increase’ promise made during the UK 2010 general election, a key pillar on which the Liberal Democrats campaign was built.
Political brickbats are bound to follow. But let’s just enjoy this mash-up up for now as you soon might find yourself dancing to remixed tunes of it in night clubs pretty soon. That’s because Nick Clegg has given the producer who spoofed the original speech permission to release it as a single on iTunes; with proceeds going to the Sheffield Children’s Trust.
