Well everyone, I just upgraded our WordPress account so that you can all upload video directly from your hard drives to the blog. Just make sure you click on the “Videos” option below your edit box to upload the video to the WordPress viewer. It may take a while to transcode. Then “Send to Editor.”

Here’s the first example: a first-time video by a former NBC colleague of mine who was so inspired by my support of the Flip at a recent meeting that she went out and bought one, shot some footage at a recent caucus meeting, and edited it on Windows MovieMaker. This from someone who once made a living from editorially directing others on the technical side to shoot and edit. Now she’s doing it all. And she’s thrilled.
