Sarah Lane and Shanna Taylor were supposed to give their research presentation last week, but were unable to due to illness. I decided to ask them to create an online presentation for three reasons:

1. To avoid a “log jam” of presentations in the remaining 2 classes.

2. To ensure they didn’t unduly benefit from the additional time they had to prepare.

3. To experiment with the effectiveness of an online presentation vs. “live.”

So please watch and comment on their presentation. Depending on your interaction with this post, I will also have Shanna and Sarah respond to your thoughts in class on Thursday.

    Sarah / Shanna -

Good coverage of your topic. I clearly understood your problem, got a sense of the tools already out there, and saw where you were headed with your research.

Format-wise, I think the online presentation worked fine.

Nice job, Shanna and Sarah. Your presentation seemed to cover the subject well, including: background on the problem, ideas about how to address the issue, some research showing how this might move forth, and plans for further research. It’s an interesting subject, and I feel I have a better grasp of the challenges now.
