This is good news for Facebook members who love Pizza Hut. Now they can order their pizza while they’re connected with their social network! What is next??? According to an article I read this week, Facebook is adding a function very similar to the one that MySpace added last month, which allows you to share and listen to music. Does this mean that people won’t physically interact with anybody anymore?

Hmm, this is interesting. I wonder how Pizza Hut will manage all the online orders without making Facebook extremely slow. Another problem: will they deliver pizza 24/7? People can get very frustrated if they try to use Facebook to order pizza after going to a club and if there is no late delivery available…

My thought is that Papa John’s was out there way ahead of the game with ordering pizzas on their website from the local franchise of your choice with all the hours posted.
Just trying to sign up for the site was a PITA. Didn’t seem to want to take my birthdate in format presented. If PH operates the same way as PJ’s does, then it simply means to me that the assumption is that the younger demographic lives in/on FB and, therefore, would prefer the ‘bookmark’ there rather than in a web browser.
My take is that this is much ado about nothing except the obvious of trying to reach the market. If PH has its ‘hyperlocal’ directory tree in order, then it could catch on or be imitated by others.

That is – trying to sign up for the PH site was a pain. PJ’s was pretty easy from what I recollect.

To me this is just another useless Facebook app.
I have Facebook open just about anytime I have my computer on. Not only would I not take the time to add the Pizza Hut app, but I wouldn’t order pizza from a tool on an external site — what assurance do you have that the app is working? What if Facebook is down?
