Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate her 38th birthday. The Mean Girls star shared a glowing fresh-faced selfie with a fun, colorful birthday hat to mark her special day. Lindsay, who’s been busy shooting Freaky Friday 2, wore a chic white prairie top with a ruffled collar and had her strawberry tresses cascading down in a straight style. The actress, who gave birth to her first child a year ago, also penned a sweet caption about being grateful.
“Another trip around the sun grateful for every moment and cherishing every second of every day and all of the beautiful things life has to offer. Feeling blessed. Thank you for all of the lovely birthday wishes,” she wrote.
Lindsay also shared a photo of all the flowers she received, as well as a pink heart-shaped birthday cake. “What a beautiful way to start the day!” she wrote. In another clip, she showed numerous birthday decorations, including a pink balloon “Happy Birthday” sign. “Thank you so much for all of the love and my amazing family and wonderful crew for a beautiful day!” the star wrote in a text overlay.
Lindsay also reposted some birthday wishes from her pals, including her Irish Wish co-star and Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry. She also re-shared a selfie with her acting coach, Bernard Hiller, who called her a “very special lady.” Her 14.4M followers quickly took to the comments to help celebrate the birthday girl.
Among them was her Parent Trap co-star Dennis Quaid, 70, who wrote, “Happy birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day Lindsay.” Quaid played Lindsay’s dad, Nick Parker, in the 1998 hit movie, which follows identical twins, Annie and Hallie (both played by Lohan) who were separated at birth due to their parents’ divorce.

A day prior, Lindsay was pictured busy at work, as she joined her co-star, Jamie Lee Curtis, while filming an outdoor scene for Freaky Friday 2 in Los Angeles. The actress strolled alongside the Oscar winner, 65, as they reprised their roles from the original 2003 movie. Production for the anticipated sequel — which is slated to be released in 2025 — officially kicked off last month in June as the two leading stars held hands on set.
Lohan was effortlessly chic in a green and red-floral maxi dress which was layered with a tan trench coat amidst the latest day of filming. Lindsay and Jamie walked side-by-side on a sidewalk in LA as they filmed exterior scenes for the upcoming Disney sequel. Lohan is reprising her role of Anna Coleman, while Jamie is stepping back into the shoes of her mother, Tess.
Aside from work, she’s also got her hands full with motherhood, after she welcomed son Luai last year in Dubai, with husband Bader Shammas. The beauty has been married to Bader, who is a financier, since 2022. Freaky Friday was released in theaters in August 2003 and was a box office success, raking in $160.8 million on a budget of $26 million. Alongside Lohan and Curtis, other stars that were cast in the project included Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Ryan Malgarini, and also Haley Hudson.
Aside from work, Lindsay’s been busy with motherhood, after she welcomed son Luai sometime around July last year in Dubai, with husband Bader Shammas. The pair have been married since 2022. Lohan returned to acting after nearly a decade in 2022, with Netflix’s holiday film “Falling for Christmas,” where she played a newly engaged hotel heiress who suffers from amnesia after a skiing accident.
