US reality TV star Kris Jenner has emotionally revealed her plans to undergo surgery to remove her ovaries. This announcement came during an episode of the reality show “The Kardashians,” where the media personality and businesswoman shared the news with her family after doctors discovered a cyst and a tumor on her ovary.
While vacationing in Aspen, Colorado, with her partner Corey Gamble, Jenner decided to break the news to her daughters, Kendall, Kim, and Khloé Kardashian. “I wanted to tell you guys something because I hadn’t told you yet, but I went to the doctor and I had my scan,” she began. “And this just makes me really emotional, but… they found a cyst and like a little tumor on my ovary.”
Jenner continued, “So I went to the doctor, and Dr. A said I have to have my ovaries taken out. And I’m just really emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys.” She added, “It’s also a thing about getting older. It’s a sign of ‘we’re done with this part of your life.’ It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed.”
Kris Jenner, who has six children—Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian from her marriage to the late Robert Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner from her marriage to Caitlyn Jenner—expressed that her biggest achievement was raising her family. “People often ask me what is the best job you’ve ever had, and I always say mom,” she said. “The biggest blessing in my life was being able to give birth to six beautiful kids.”
Speaking to the camera, Kim Kardashian empathized with her mother’s emotional state. “To have a surgery and remove your ovaries is a really big deal,” she said. “I feel really sad for her. I couldn’t even imagine being in that situation and how you would feel really scared to be going through that.”
Kourtney Kardashian also shared her thoughts, saying she “would feel the same way.” She added, “It’s like your womanly power. It doesn’t mean it’s taking away who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”
Kendall Jenner added her perspective, saying, “I get that it’s sad because they [her ovaries] have brought all her kids into the world, which is totally fair. But at the same time, what are we going to use those for anymore? If they’re potentially hurting you, let’s get them out of there.”
In a heartfelt moment, Kris Jenner reflected on the significance of her ovaries, saying, “I’m emotional about it because that’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown in my tummy, and so that’s a very sacred place to me.”
Kris Jenner’s eldest daughter, Kourtney Kardashian, and her youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner, were not present for the initial announcement but were informed later. During a video call with Kourtney, Kris explained, “I’m just getting a little bit of surgery because I have a tumor on my ovary, so they’re gonna remove them. But it’s just, you know, the emotional part for me is just having that gone.”
Kim Kardashian later admitted she felt “really sad” for her mother. “To have a surgery and remove your ovaries is like a really big deal. I feel really sad for her, you know? I couldn’t even imagine being in that situation and how like you would feel really scared to be going through that.”
Kourtney reiterated her understanding of her mother’s feelings, saying, “I mean, I totally understand how my mom is feeling because I would feel the same way. It’s like your womanly power, and it doesn’t mean that it’s like taking away, you know, who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this like sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”
Kris Jenner’s decision to undergo ovary removal surgery is a significant and emotional step for the reality TV star. Her openness about the procedure and the support from her family highlight the importance of addressing health issues and the emotional impact they can have.
