Olivia Palermo’s 10-year wedding anniversary with Johannes Huebl was nothing short of a fashion fairytale, with every detail meticulously planned to perfection. The founder and CCO of the Olivia Palermo Group, along with her photographer husband, celebrated their milestone anniversary with a multi-day event in Baden-Baden, Germany, filled with high-fashion looks and glamorous beauty moments.
Palermo, known for her impeccable style, donned three bridal-inspired gowns by Giambattista Valli and a sequined afterparty dress by Bronx & Banco. Each outfit was a testament to her signature elegance, but it was her beauty look that truly completed the ensemble. “Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand,” Palermo tells PEOPLE exclusively. “They are equal contributors to the story you are trying to tell with your look. The wardrobe could be the most incredible haute couture design ever created, but if the makeup is poorly done or the hair competes with the silhouette of the outfit, the whole look is thrown off.”
For her pre-event skincare, Palermo turned to skin expert Cynthia Rivas, who she sees “every single week.” Given her recent travels to Paris for Fashion Week, her skin prep was even more crucial leading up to the anniversary celebration. “Olivia’s skin and facial features are already stunning, making it easy to enhance her natural beauty!” Rivas tells PEOPLE. “My goal was to take her complexion to the next level, focusing on achieving a sculpted, flawless look. With her recent travels, keeping her skin deeply hydrated was a top priority. I combined my signature treatments, from oxygen treatments to sculpting massages, to create a lifted, sculpted, and naturally radiant glow.”
To achieve Palermo’s fresh, glowing look, Rivas used MBR Cytoline Eyecare Cream, iS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum, EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46, and MBR Awake & Lift Eye Patches. “I’ve loved seeing her skin transform as we’ve been working together,” she shares. “It has been a pleasure to help her get ready for such a special event in her life.”
Palermo’s makeup artist for the weekend, Olivia Mclean, used an array of Charlotte Tilbury products to create multiple bridal looks. “I worked really closely with Charlotte since the beginning of her career,” Palermo says. “I was one of her guinea pigs on all of her product launches. So it’s been really nice to see how she’s blown up. She’s like the number one makeup artist in the world.”
Her pre-event haircut was courtesy of Marty Harper, with color by Natalie Elias. Throughout the weekend, Palermo’s hair was styled by both Niky Epi and Ivan Gomez. Her manicure was done by Galilee Schulmann. “I’ve been really going back into being a brunette and having those highlights because I was a blonde for so long,” Palermo says. “And having the short hair, I kind of like it more on the brunette side. We’ve been playing with a little bit of the length and having a little variation.”
Palermo’s beauty look was a collaborative effort, with each member of her glam team playing a crucial role. “A great glam team knows how to work together to make their client look and feel their best. Love my glam fam!” she exclaims.
The makeup lineup for the weekend was exclusively Charlotte Tilbury. “The full Charlotte Tilbury lineup to keep me looking glamorous all weekend long! I’ve been loyal to Charlotte Tilbury since she first started the brand and am lucky enough to call her a friend,” Palermo shares. Olivia Mclean, Charlotte Tilbury Pro Makeup Artist, was not only with Palermo for the weekend’s festivities but also attended both Giambattista Valli fittings in Paris. “It was so nice to have her with me on this fabulous journey for the consistency of the glam and the fun!” Palermo adds.
For her hair, Palermo turned to Niky Epi, a hairstylist she has worked with for years during Milan Fashion Week. “When I invited him to attend our anniversary celebrations, his first question was, ‘What are we doing for the hair?’ I was so happy to have him work with me for the first event of the weekend,” Palermo says. Ivan Gomez, a friend and hair and makeup artist from Spain, also played a significant role in creating her looks for the weekend.
One of the standout moments of the weekend was the application of the lipstick shade “In Love with Olivia,” which Charlotte Tilbury created in Palermo’s honor as part of her Hot Lips 2 collection. “Perfecting my pout before last looks,” Palermo says, highlighting the importance of the finishing touches.
The afterparty glam was another highlight, with quick touch-ups and an outfit change before the festivities. “Love a chic hair accessory, so we added a Jennifer Behr bow with crystals to complete the look,” Palermo shares. The next morning, it was time to start fresh with a daytime look appropriate for their luncheon. “While not pictured, I was super fortunate to also have my friend (and hair and makeup artist when I am in Spain), Ivan Gomez, come in from Paris Couture to do my hair for the day’s events,” Palermo says.
Throughout the weekend, Palermo’s beauty looks were a testament to her dedication to fashion and beauty. “I love weddings, but I’m not much of a bridal person,” she says. “I am much more of a fashion girl—and I am very nontraditional in that sense. I take every opportunity to make something into a fashion moment.”
Palermo and Huebl’s anniversary celebration was a beautiful blend of fashion, beauty, and love, with every detail carefully curated to create a memorable experience. From the stunning Giambattista Valli gowns to the flawless makeup and hair, Palermo’s beauty look for her 10-year wedding anniversary was truly behind the glam.
