The highly anticipated “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3: The Conflict” has finally revealed its release timeframe, much to the excitement of fans worldwide. The announcement was made during the Jump Festa ’24 event, where a new trailer was also unveiled, confirming that the anime will premiere in 2024. This news has set the stage for what promises to be an epic continuation of the beloved series.
The new trailer, which you can watch below, features Uryu Ishida and was shown immediately after the conclusion of Part 2. The visual and the trailer have already generated significant buzz, giving fans a glimpse of the intense battles and dramatic moments that lie ahead.
Studio Pierrot, the same studio that produced the original “Bleach” TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s manga, is behind this new installment. The original series aired from October 2004 to March 2012, spanning a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media, which has licensed the series in English, describes the “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” story as follows:
“The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace, and nobody knows who’s behind it. Meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town.”
In addition to the new trailer, another exciting announcement was made: “Bleach: Arrancar the Beginning” musical is set to debut in 2024. This will be the first musical for the franchise since 2015, adding another layer of excitement for fans.
“Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” has continued to captivate audiences with its emotional finales and highly anticipated sequel announcements. Part 3 is expected to pick up right where Part 2 left off, with Ichigo and his crew facing off against the main villain, Yhwach. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Part 3 and are hopeful for a continuation into a fourth part to fully adapt the original manga’s ending.
The second part of “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War,” titled “The Separation,” concluded with an emotional and epic finale. Studio Pierrot wasted no time in announcing its sequel, much to the delight of fans. The original “Bleach” anime, which aired from 2004 to 2012, ended without adapting the final arc of the manga. Therefore, the arrival of the new anime in 2022 to finish the project was met with great enthusiasm.
The entire series is divided into four parts, with the first two now completed. The second half is slowly approaching and is expected to be a major highlight in the anime-packed year of 2024.
The official X account of VIZ Media recently released a dramatic teaser for the third part of “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict.” The minute-long teaser showcases the main villain, Yhwach, and Squad Zero’s captain, Ichibe, facing off in what is anticipated to be one of the most thrilling battles since Yhwach’s confrontation with Yamamoto. The teaser also features Ichigo and his crew rushing into the Soul King’s castle, which collapses soon after. The teaser has done justice to the highly anticipated sequel, excellently portraying the violence and action that is about to ensue.
On May 30, 2024, the Anime Expo convention announced on X (formerly Twitter) that there would be a special “Thousand-Year Blood War” panel. This panel will feature new information and a “sneak peek” of the third part. The panel will also include appearances by English voice actors for the “Thousand-Year Blood War” anime, such as Xander Mobus and Robbie Daymond, who will discuss and reflect on the first two parts.
This will be the first look at Part 3 of “Thousand-Year Blood War” since the initial teaser after Part 2 ended. It promises to be an exciting preview of what is to come. With Part 2 having diverged somewhat from the manga, many fans are expecting that Part 3 may introduce significant changes. These changes will likely begin with addressing the aftermath of Squad Zero’s strongest Bankai, which eliminated many of Yhwach’s most loyal soldiers, including Uryu.
Based on the manga, Part 3 should feature the return of some characters from previous story arcs, such as Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, who was teased in Part 2. Ichigo, along with Orihime and Chad, is currently en route to the Soul King’s palace. He hopes to turn the tide and stop Yhwach before he can reach the Soul King. Ichigo is now equipped with newfound power since his last encounter with Yhwach, which may give him a fighting chance against the seemingly invincible Quincy emperor at this critical juncture.
As fans eagerly await the release of “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3: The Conflict,” the excitement continues to build. The new trailer and the upcoming musical have only added to the anticipation. With the promise of intense battles, dramatic moments, and the return of beloved characters, Part 3 is shaping up to be an unforgettable chapter in the “Bleach” saga.
