McConaughey’s family life has been a focal point for the actor, especially since relocating from Malibu, California, to Texas in 2014. The move was a strategic decision to create a different environment for their family. His wife, Camila Alves, revealed that the decision came after a visit to see McConaughey’s family in Texas left him feeling “peaceful but confident.” She shared, “We were living a happy life in Malibu. We had a beautiful house that we’d built together and put a lot of love and care into. We were raising our kids there. I was growing everything in the yard. I had bees making honey.”
