Adamari López Returns to Acting After Years Away from Drama Projects
Puerto Rican actress Adamari López has returned to acting after spending many years away from dramatic projects. She traveled to Mexico for a special appearance in the comedy series "Bola de locos," produced by Alexis Núñez, husband of Verónica Bastos.
The involvement of López, who also hosts the show "Desiguales," was revealed by associate producer Gregorio Ortiz. “Today we filmed ‘Bola de locos’ with an amazing actress who is now part of our crazy club. Thank you, Adamari,” Ortiz shared along with a photo with the actress.
López also shared this announcement on her social media profile, where she has over nine million followers.
Mexican comedian ‘La Chupitos’ posted an Instagram story with López, saying, “It’s a huge surprise and an honor to film with my dear Adamari López.” López responded, “I love that we’re working on this project together.”
Synopsis of ‘Bola de locos’
In the second season, Adamari López plays a starring role in one episode. The series centers on a typical Mexican neighborhood visited by celebrities under various circumstances.
López is notable as one of the most significant hosts in Hispanic television, particularly for her role in a Univision talk show. She originally gained fame through successful telenovelas such as "Amigas y rivales" (2021), "Gata salvaje" (2002), "Bajo las riendas del amor" (2007), and "Alma de Hierro" (2008).
Adamari López’s Farewell to Telenovelas
López bid farewell to telenovelas with her role as Rita Anguiano in "Alma de Hierro." She shared, “I spent a year and a half in that production with a team and audience that welcomed me as if I were Mexican,” according to remarks gathered by People en Español. However, eight years later, she made a special appearance as Carmen Córdoba in "La fan."
