Emily Osment found working during the COVID-19 pandemic to be "terrifying." The 32-year-old actress, who is the younger sister of ‘The Sixth Sense’ star Haley Joel Osment, collaborated with her brother on ‘The Kominsky Method.’ She admitted to fearing for her safety while filming much of the Netflix series during the worldwide quarantine.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Emily shared, "I worked throughout the COVID pandemic, and it was scary. I was afraid of being in a situation where we didn’t know if we would be safe or not. I had no choice but to wear my mask and work, and having Haley there to support me was comforting. Knowing where he had been—he’s my brother—was reassuring."
Emily expressed her hope that Haley Joel, now 36, would develop his directing skills. He previously became the second-youngest actor nominated for an Academy Award for a supporting role in the 1999 thriller alongside Bruce Willis. He was briefly considered for the lead role in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise as well.
She stated, "He needs to write and direct. And he should hire me! Put that in the newspaper, too. It would be great. Haley and I have also done a lot of voice work together."
Meanwhile, Emily, who rose to fame as a teenager alongside Miley Cyrus in the Disney Channel comedy ‘Hannah Montana,’ announced her engagement to musician Jack Anthony in June 2023 after two years of dating.
At the time, she expressed her joy on Instagram, saying, "This magical, beautiful kaleidoscope of a person proposed to me this weekend. I never knew life could be this sweet or that I could be this deliriously happy. I am so proud of the life we’ve built together and the people we’ve become over the past years. This love is so big and so ours that I know it can withstand anything. I feel so honored to stand by your side every day. I love you, Jack."
