Karol G and Andrea Bocelli are teaming up for an exciting new musical collaboration. Just days before the Colombian singer, aged 33, captivated fans worldwide by performing Colombia’s national anthem during the Copa América 2024 final against Argentina on July 14, news emerged about this partnership with the renowned 65-year-old Italian tenor.
Bocelli, known for his powerful voice and timeless classics like “Vivo per Lei,” announced through social media that he will release a new album titled “Duets.” This album is a celebration of his 30-year career and features collaborations with some of the biggest names in the international music scene.
Recently, Bocelli revealed the second group of artists who will join him on this project, which notably includes Karol G, who is celebrated for her hits like “Tusa” and “Ojos Ferrari.” Although the specific song that Karol will perform remains a mystery, the announcement has already sparked excitement among fans.
The Latina music superstar, known for her hit “Mañana será más bonito,” isn’t the only prominent artist featured on “Duets.” The album boasts an impressive lineup that includes American pop icon Gwen Stefani, actress and singer Sofia Carson, Italian singer Elisa, Christian music artist Lauren Daigle, and country star Chris Stapleton. Furthermore, legendary film composer Hans Zimmer and Bocelli’s children, Matteo and Virginia, will also contribute to the album. It even includes heavyweights like Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, and the late Luciano Pavarotti.
Another major addition to the project is Latin music superstar Marc Anthony, who will collaborate with Bocelli, adding more diversity and appeal to the album. Like Karol G, the details of his performance are yet to be revealed.
“Duets” will feature 32 tracks that cover a wide range of Bocelli’s extensive career, and is set to be released on October 25.
