A woman with an outstanding arrest warrant was apprehended by the police last Sunday during an operation in the Nueva Córdoba neighborhood of the capital.
The suspect had defrauded seven businesses by making payments with fake bank transfers. This led the merchants to alert one another through WhatsApp security groups about her scheme.
Upon being informed of the situation, the police conducted a thorough check of the stores and successfully intercepted and arrested her on Boulevard San Juan at number 95.
During the operation, officials confiscated the items she had fraudulently purchased, with a total estimated value of 500,000 pesos.
Following her arrest, the woman was taken to the police station and placed at the disposal of the judiciary.
