The Mexican singer Christian Nodal has faced significant criticism in the past two months following the end of his relationship with Argentine rapper Cazzu. Their nearly two-year relationship included the birth of a daughter together. Shortly after their breakup, Nodal began dating singer Ángela Aguilar.
Amidst the controversy surrounding his new romance with Pepe Aguilar’s youngest daughter, Nodal revealed that he has welcomed a new addition to his family: a puppy named Chichi, whom he shares with his new girlfriend.
Before introducing Chichi to his followers, Nodal deleted all photos featuring his ex-girlfriend Cazzu and their daughter Inti. However, on July 12, he shared a photo of Chichi for the first time and even created an Instagram account for the puppy.
In response to a photo of the puppy, a user criticized Nodal for spending more time showcasing his dog than his daughter Inti. Since his separation from Cazzu, he has not shared any moments with his eight-month-old daughter on social media.
The comment suggested, “I wish you would post as much about your daughter as you do about a dog. It’s nothing against the puppy; it’s just not fair.”
Nodal addressed the criticism through Chichi’s Instagram account, stating, “Hello, sweetheart. To project oneself and give opinions without knowing about others’ lives, there’s my dad’s profile.”
The unexpected end of Nodal’s relationship with Cazzu caused quite a stir, and his quick connection with Ángela Aguilar led to rumors of infidelity, which he denied in a public statement.
In a video, he expressed, “First of all, Julieta is a person I love and will respect for life. We are public figures and artists, but we are not immune to life. Sometimes love doesn’t work out. Our time together ended in the best way possible, and we had the most precious gift from that love: Inti, my daughter, whom I will always love and care for. There were never any third parties involved in that relationship, and there was never infidelity; sometimes love just doesn’t work.”
Ángela Aguilar later shared in an interview with ‘HOLA! México’ that her relationship with Nodal is not new, describing it as a continuation of a past story they had to pause.
Since then, the couple has enjoyed their time together, demonstrating their affection publicly despite the ongoing criticism.
