Reaching a milestone birthday, while certainly a celebration of life, can also lead to a period of reflection. This is exactly what happened for comedian Paz Padilla and her close friends. During the Beef Awards, organized by PROVACUNO, Paz shared that she took a trip to India to find some clarity. She explained that entering your 50s can bring about a kind of crisis, stating, “It’s a complicated time; they were confused.” However, after the trip, they all felt “renewed.” Coming to terms with age is a challenge that many face.
In an interview with ¡HOLA!, Paz also talked about her plans for the summer. Throughout the year, she has been busy with various projects and has even enrolled in a coaching course at a university. Nothing seems to deter her, and with her characteristic energy and enthusiasm for life, she shared her personal and professional endeavors.
Paz expressed her happiness about returning from her journey. She recounted, “I just landed back from India with five friends. It was a very special trip, as they are going through a tough time.” Engaging with new perspectives can help shift one’s outlook. Paz pointed out that confronting age can be tough, especially as birthdays accumulate.
Regarding her travel experience, she emphasized the importance of quality time with loved ones. “I feel very happy and renewed after traveling. It allows you to see different realities, and sometimes, when you encounter other people’s struggles, you realize your own problems may not be as significant.”
As summer approaches, she was asked whether she engages in a “bikini operation.” Her response highlighted a shift in priorities: “At this age, health takes precedence for me. I prefer to focus on my mental wellbeing over physical appearance.”
Still, Paz maintains a healthy lifestyle. “Yes, I try to eat as healthily and balanced as possible. You cannot neglect your diet, and it is equally important to be mentally and physically in good shape.”
Paz has plans for the summer, expressing her intention to visit Cádiz and possibly travel abroad. When it came to romantic pursuits, she stated she’s content with her current life. “When you have a beautiful life, everything that comes is a bonus. What matters most to me is peace—no enemies, no debts. Happiness is about living in the moment.”
Professionally, Paz is keeping herself busy with a book and several theater productions. She will be on tour this year and is also collaborating with Ana Rosa Quintana in the show TardeAR. Excitedly, she mentioned, “On my days off, I dedicate myself to a master’s program at the university.”
Lastly, when questioned about her studies, Paz revealed her interest in becoming a coach. “I want to learn because I’m giving talks and want to help others. I might not have much time, but I plan to finish my master’s by October, so we’ll see what happens.”
Her journey reflects the transformative power of travel, the importance of mental health, and the pursuit of lifelong learning.
