Hasbro Pulse has exciting news for Ghostbusters fans and collectors. The company has announced the launch of the Ghostbusters HasLab 2, a sequel to the highly successful Ghostbusters Plasma Series Spengler’s Proton Pack. This new project, titled “Two in the Box,” features a premium adult collectible set that includes a Ghost Trap and a P.K.E. Meter.
The crowdfunding campaign for this project will run from October 27, 2023, to December 11, 2023, and requires 10,000 backers to move into production. If successful, the project is expected to ship in late Fall 2024. Hasbro Pulse Premium members in the contiguous United States will enjoy free standard shipping and handling, while non-members will have shipping charges calculated at checkout.
For European fans, Hasbro Pulse Europe is offering the Ghostbusters Plasma Series HasLab Two in the Box for €349.99, including VAT and free delivery for Pulse Premium Members. Non-members will incur a €5 delivery fee. The campaign will run from October 27, 2023, at 10 PM CEST to December 12, 2023, at 05:59 AM CET. If the project reaches its goal of 10,000 backers, production will commence, with deliveries expected by December 2024.
The Ghostbusters Plasma Series has already thrilled fans with items like the Neutrona Wand and the Proton Pack. Now, the Two in the Box set aims to capture the essence of ghost-busting with the Ghost Trap and P.K.E. Meter. These items are designed to be 1:1-scale premium adult collectibles, perfect for any Ghostbusters enthusiast.
The P.K.E. Meter, a device used to detect spectral activity, features motorized arms, embedded lights, and sound effects inspired by the Ghostbusters universe. It also includes a special Taser Mode, an upgrade from Egon Spengler’s time as the Dirt Farmer in Summerville. This mode allows the P.K.E. Meter to force apparitions to reveal themselves or explode in a burst of marshmallow goo.
The Ghost Trap, another iconic piece of ghost-busting equipment, comes with a removable cartridge, high-powered LEDs, and premium metal finishes. It also features functioning diecast metal wheels for smooth deployment. This collectible is so detailed that it’s sure to attract ghosts eager to be trapped.
Hasbro Pulse has also announced several unlockable features for the campaign. At 12,000 backers, the Supernatural Startup Unlock will be activated, providing backers with a blueprint poster, stickers, ESP cards, and a screen-accurate ’84 No Ghost patch replica. At 15,000 backers, the Secure Receptacle Ghost Trap Unlock will be available, including a secure holster and an exclusive Ghostbusters HasLab patch. Finally, at 18,000 backers, the Psychokinetic Energy Detection Unlock will be activated, offering a holster for the P.K.E. Meter and an exclusive Mini-Puft No Ghost logo patch.
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of Ghostbusters, and Hasbro Pulse is celebrating with this special project.
