Marc Anthony and his wife, Nadia Ferreira, have finally shared the name of their baby boy, marking a special moment on his first birthday. Ferreira, 25, took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 12, to post a heartwarming photo of herself holding their son, Marco, in front of a festive, balloon-filled birthday display.
“Today marks one year since you came into the world, to teach me so many things… one of them being the greatest love that exists… being your mother, my son,” Ferreira wrote in her caption. “There’s no way to explain the infinite love I feel for you and the excitement of watching you grow and teaching you new things every day. Happy birthday to the greatest blessing of my life. My beloved Marco!”
This is Ferreira’s first child and Anthony’s seventh. The couple had previously shared the first photo of Marco’s face in March, celebrating his 9-month milestone with a joint Instagram post. “Happy 9 months my everything 🤍. Mommy and daddy love you!!!!” they wrote.
Anthony and Ferreira’s relationship has been a whirlwind romance. They got engaged in May 2022, just two months after making their relationship public. The couple tied the knot in January 2023 in a star-studded ceremony in Miami, attended by celebrities like Salma Hayek and Lin Manuel Miranda. David Beckham served as Anthony’s best man, accompanied by his wife, Victoria Beckham.
This marriage marks Anthony’s fourth. He was first married to Dayanara Torres in 2000, with whom he shares sons Cristian, 23, and Ryan, 20. After their split in 2004, Anthony married Jennifer Lopez later that year. The couple welcomed twins Max and Emme, now 16, in 2008, but announced their separation in 2011, finalizing their divorce three years later.
“Marc and I are good how we are right now,” Lopez said during a 2017 appearance on The View. “There’s a reason we’re not together, but we’re great friends. And we’re parents together.”
Following his split from Lopez, Anthony married Shannon De Lima in 2014, but they divorced three years later. He also shares daughter Ariana, 30, and son Chase, 28, with ex Debbie Rosado.
Anthony and Ferreira first sparked romance rumors in early 2022 after being spotted together in Mexico City. They made their relationship Instagram-official in March of that year. “May God multiply all that you wish us,” Anthony wrote in Spanish at the time, alongside a photo of the smiling couple.
Before marrying Ferreira, Anthony reportedly couldn’t picture having another child. “If you had asked him a few years ago, Marc never imagined he’d become a father again,” a source told Us Weekly in June 2023. “Nadia seems to be taking to motherhood like a pro. Marc hasn’t left her side either and he’s doting on Nadia and the baby at all times.”
The couple celebrated Marco’s first birthday with a teddy bear-themed party, complete with intricate balloon displays and an adorable two-tiered birthday cake. Ferreira shared several photos from the festivities on her Instagram Story, including a cow-themed balloon display and a large silver balloon shaped like the number one. Guests enjoyed party hats and fun birthday-themed sunglasses during the celebration.
“God’s timing is always perfect,” Anthony wrote on Instagram on Father’s Day last year. The couple had announced they were expecting a child together just two weeks after their wedding, sharing the news on Valentine’s Day in February 2023.
Anthony and Ferreira’s wedding was a lavish affair at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, with notable guests including David Beckham, Salma Hayek, and Lin Manuel Miranda. Despite his busy career, Anthony has expressed his desire to spend more time with his children. “The one regret would be that what I chose to do took so much of my time,” he shared with CBS Sunday Morning. “What I would have done to have been a stay-at-home dad, and you know, witnessed every second of everything. I would have loved that. Didn’t work out that way.”
As they celebrate Marco’s first year, Anthony and Ferreira continue to share their joy and love for their son with the world.
