Drivers should prepare for additional roadwork on I-90 in several Berkshire towns starting Monday. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be conducting various maintenance tasks, which will necessitate lane closures. Traffic will still be able to pass through the work zones, but delays are expected.

In Otis and Blandford, guardrail and drainage work will be carried out on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-90. This work will take place from mile marker 21.0 to 26.6 on Monday and Tuesday nights, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning. The work is scheduled to be completed by early Wednesday morning.

Otis will also see additional guardrail repair work on the westbound lanes from mile marker 21.0 to 23.0 on Wednesday and Thursday nights, again from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. This work is expected to be finished by early Friday morning.

In Stockbridge and West Stockbridge, guardrail and bridge repair work will be conducted nightly on the westbound lanes from mile marker 2.5 to 5.0, starting Monday and continuing through Thursday. The work will occur from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night and is expected to conclude by early Friday morning.

Stockbridge will also have drainage repair operations on the eastbound lanes at mile marker 4.6 on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and at mile marker 6.0 on Wednesday during the same hours.

In West Stockbridge, bridge repair operations will be conducted nightly on the eastbound lanes from mile marker 2.0 to 3.0, from Monday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The work is expected to be completed by early Friday morning.

Lee will see pavement marking operations on both the eastbound and westbound lanes from mile marker 7.3 to 15.8, starting Monday and continuing through Thursday nights, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The work is expected to be finished by early Friday morning. Additionally, drainage repair operations will be conducted on the eastbound lanes at mile marker 8.2 on Monday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work areas. Drivers traveling through these affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All scheduled work is weather-dependent and subject to change without notice.
