Ashwini Dutt, a fervent supporter of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, orchestrated this pre-release event with great enthusiasm, buoyed by the recent formation of the TDP government. The film, which boasts a stellar cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Amitabh Bachchan, also features Kamal Haasan in a pivotal role as the antagonist. The presence of these top-tier stars added to the event’s allure, making it a night to remember.
Adding to the star-studded affair, Ashwini Dutt extended a special invitation to Rajinikanth, who recently attended Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony. Rajinikanth’s acceptance of the invitation elevated the event’s prestige, promising a gathering of cinematic legends on one stage. The sight of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, and Prabhas together was indeed a visual treat for the attendees.
Amitabh Bachchan, who will be seen in “Kalki 2898 AD” or “Project K,” recently made headlines with his investment in a prime plot in Ayodhya’s luxurious enclave, The Sarayu. Developed by The House of Abhinandan Lodha, this seven-star mixed-use enclave is set to house a five-star palace hotel in collaboration with Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts. The project, expected to be completed by March 2028, is strategically located near the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and the Ayodhya International Airport.
Bachchan expressed his excitement about the investment, highlighting his emotional connection to Ayodhya, a city rich in spirituality and cultural heritage. Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of HoABL, welcomed Bachchan as the “first citizen” of The Sarayu, emphasizing the project’s significance in Ayodhya’s global spiritual landscape.
The event also saw the introduction of a unique character from “Kalki 2898 AD” – Bujji, a robot voiced by Keerthy Suresh. Director Nag Ashwin unveiled Bujji’s custom-made vehicle at a special event in Hyderabad, showcasing the innovative technology and design that went into its creation. Prabhas, who plays Bhairava in the film, expressed his gratitude to the audience and his co-stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
The making of Bujji’s vehicle was a collaborative effort, with Nag Ashwin seeking assistance from industrialist Anand Mahindra. The project, which took four years to complete, is a testament to the dedication and ingenuity of the Indian engineering and design team involved.
“Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin, is a sci-fi epic set in an apocalyptic future where the protagonist rises to save the world from evil.
