Anna Faris embraces her "youth" through playful characters, including a "wicked nanny," while spending time with her son. The 47-year-old actress shares 11-year-old Jack Daniel with her ex-husband, Chris Pratt, who is 45. She expressed how much she enjoys traveling with her son, as it makes her feel energetic.
In a recent interview with People magazine, Anna shared, "Every six months, he chooses an activity. Since we live in Los Angeles, sometimes it’s Disneyland. We haven’t conquered Universal Studios yet, but we do visit the San Diego Zoo and other places like that. I love these mother-son trips. Being mischievous with him and feeling like a kid is incredibly fun. We play together, and I can be a wicked nanny or pretend to be the headmistress of a boarding school. I enjoy engaging in those imaginative games with the people in my life. It annoys some of them, but Jack doesn’t seem to mind—unless we’re with other kids. Then he’ll say, ‘Mom, stop. Enough already.’”
When asked if Jack is aware of her comedic talents, which she showcased in films like Scary Movie, Anna replied, "I think he knows. He probably thinks I’m funny. But instead of laughing, he gives me this ironic smile like, ‘Uh-huh, Mom.’ It’s true that, for better or worse, I like to have fun as a mom. I love laughing with Jack, and that makes me feel youthful."
In addition to her son, Anna is a stepmother to her husband Michael Barrett’s two children. Michael, a 54-year-old cinematographer, got engaged to Anna in 2019, and they eloped two years later. Reflecting on her relationship with Chris and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, 34, Anna stated in a 2022 interview that she feels fortunate to have a great connection with them.
She expressed, "We’ve come together much more, and I appreciate that. They look out for me a lot, and I want to protect them as well. I’m really thankful for their support."
