Armie Hammer has emphatically stated that he is not a cannibal, as he has never eaten a human being. The star of "Call Me by Your Name" is making efforts to revive his career and clear his name following serious allegations made against him in 2021. These allegations included claims of emotional abuse, manipulation, sexual assault, and cannibalistic fantasies.
In a recent appearance on Piers Morgan’s YouTube show, the 36-year-old actor was directly questioned about whether he is a cannibal. Hammer responded, "Do you know what it takes to be a cannibal? You have to have eaten someone." He reaffirmed that he has never consumed a person.
During the conversation on "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Hammer maintained that the allegations stemmed from consensual sexual encounters and role play. He did, however, confirm that he had used a knife to mark his ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze, but stressed that "there wasn’t even any blood."
Referring to Lorenze’s 2021 accusation that he used a knife to "mark" her with the letter ‘A’ near her intimate parts during their four-month relationship in 2020, Hammer clarified: "I wouldn’t call it a brand, no… It was a scenario we had discussed beforehand, basically a very small point and just a little stroke of the letter ‘A’ with the tip of a small knife. I mean, there was not even any blood. It was more of a scratch… It’s similar to couples tattooing their initials."
When Piers pointed out that using a knife on someone is "a bit different from a tattoo," Hammer insisted it was "less permanent." He further assured, "I guarantee it was something very small."
Lorenze, now 26, recounted the knife incident to Page Six, saying, "I sat there and let it happen. I really didn’t know what to do or say… sad as it is, I wanted him to like me and felt I would do what he wanted." The influencer added that Hammer expected her to showcase her bruises and take pride in her marks. She recalled telling him, "How am I supposed to see other people if I have bruises?" to which he responded, "That’s the point. I think he wanted to mark and brand."
Lorenze also mentioned that Hammer expressed a desire for her to be his "little slave" and shared his bondage fantasies with her.
In January 2021, Hammer faced allegations from his former girlfriend Effie Angelova, who claimed he abused her "mentally, emotionally, and sexually" when she was 20 years old. He has denied the rape allegations, asserting that their sexual encounters were consensual.
Additionally, his ex, Courtney Vucekovich, accused him of cannibalistic tendencies, stating to Page Six that he allegedly told her he wanted to "break a rib, barbecue it, and eat it." Hammer has denied these claims as well.
In a twist of fate, just six months prior to these allegations surfacing, Hammer’s wife, Elizabeth Chambers, 42, filed for divorce. They share two children: their daughter Harper, 9, and their son Ford, 7.
