Blake Shelton is “happy anywhere,” especially when celebrating his 48th birthday in Italy with his wife, Gwen Stefani.
The country star shared snippets of his birthday festivities on Instagram, showcasing his unique birthday setup and accessories. The “Just a Girl” singer, 54, was right by his side, making the day even more special.
Shelton began his post with a selfie, donning a green printed button-up shirt and orange glasses that read “Happy Birthday!” He also sported a disco ball helmet, with neon lights and streamers in the background.
In another photo, the Grammy winner was seen sleeping in a bed adorned with silver balloons spelling out “Happy Birthday.” The bed was surrounded by black and white pillows, and white balloons were scattered across the ceiling.
“Thank you @gwenstefani for the greatest birthday ever!!!!!” Shelton captioned the post. “Plus we finally found the hotel…”
In a follow-up Instagram post, Shelton expressed gratitude to his fans for their birthday wishes and revealed that the celebration took place in Italy. He shared a photo of himself riding a bicycle with a helmet on, navigating an Italian street.
“Thanks for the birthday wishes everybody,” he wrote. “I’ve drank so much in Italy that Gwen wanted to be sure I made it back to the hotel safely… I’m still not there though…”
On June 18, Stefani celebrated her husband’s 48th birthday with a video compilation of their sweetest moments, set to their duet “Purple Irises.” She wrote, “happy bday to the greatest, @blakeshelton 🤍 u are my everything!!” alongside videos of their time on The Voice, performing onstage, and enjoying nature together.
The former No Doubt rocker, who is a mom to sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10, also honored Shelton on Father’s Day. She posted a video featuring several “fatherly” moments from the singer, including a clip of Shelton holding a bouquet of flowers and hugging one of her sons. The video also showed drawings her boys made of the family and a funny clip of Shelton dressed in pink bunny footie pajamas, reminiscent of A Christmas Story, walking down the stairs as her boys ran up to hug him.
“And a very happy Father’s Day to @blakeshelton 🤍 we love u so much!!” she wrote.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are more in love than ever. One year after tying the knot on July 3, 2021, at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch, the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary by sharing sweet photos and videos on Instagram from their special day.
Stefani, 52, posted a video montage of moments from their wedding, set to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” In the clip, Shelton can be seen pulling back Stefani’s wedding veil before the video cuts to the couple dancing and sharing a kiss.
“1 year down, forever to go!” the No Doubt singer captioned the post, tagging Shelton, who replied, “I love you! Thank you for saying yes!!!!!”
Shelton, 46, also celebrated their anniversary by sharing a photo from the ceremony, writing in the caption, “Happy anniversary to the woman that makes my world go round… @Gwen Stefani, because of you, this year has been the best year of my life. I love you!!!! Thank you for saying yes!”
In the comments section, Stefani replied, “My dream man – thank u God!!!”
For their intimate wedding, Stefani wore a custom lily white Vera Wang Haute silk georgette gown with a sweetheart plunging neckline, cutaway back, fitted bodice, and high-low hand-tumbled tulle skirt. Her veil featured a sweet tribute to her husband and kids: hand-embroidered names of Blake, Gwen, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
Shelton and Stefani fell in love nearly seven years ago on the set of The Voice and have collaborated on hit songs including “Happy Anywhere,” “Nobody but You,” and “You Make Me Feel Like Christmas.” The two began dating in 2015 and got engaged in October 2020.
Following their engagement, the “God’s Country” singer shared the news on Instagram, writing, “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life. I love you. I heard a YES!”
Prior to their wedding, a source told PEOPLE in December 2020 that the two were “ready” to tie the knot, adding, “They don’t want a huge wedding. They want their family and close friends to attend and that’s it.”
Shelton previously revealed to PEOPLE that his friends initially thought Stefani was out of his league when they first started dating. “When we first started seeing each other, friends of mine would be like, ‘What the hell is that all about?'” Shelton said in 2018. “But if you ever had a chance to be around us together, it does make sense.”
“I wouldn’t change one thing about my life right now,” he continued at the time. “I’m happy. Sometimes happiness can seem like fleeting moments, but this one has been staying in the same lane for a long time. It’s just amazing.”
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani had not one but two big reasons to celebrate on Sunday, June 18. Not only was it Shelton’s 47th birthday, but it was also Father’s Day. “Happy bday and father’s day, [Blake Shelton],” Stefani wrote on social media. “I love u more than anything.”
To commemorate the occasion, Stefani compiled a montage of sweet memories of the couple’s relationship, setting the video to a snippet of her upcoming new song, “True Babe.” The clip shows footage from Stefani and Shelton’s July 2021 wedding ceremony, plus shots of them hanging out and spending time together through the years.
On her Instagram Stories, Stefani went on to shower Shelton with even more love for his special day, both as a birthday boy and as a stepdad. “Happy Bday to my everything cowboy,” she wrote in one slide, which shows her planting a kiss on her country star husband’s cheek as he smiles broadly, dressed in a colorful button-down shirt.
Shelton and Stefani cemented their blended family status when they got married, with Shelton becoming stepdad to Stefani’s three sons—17-year-old Kingston, 14-year-old Zuma, and nine-year-old Apollo—from her previous marriage to actor Gavin Rossdale. The kids were a prominent part of Stefani’s wedding to Shelton: The older two even signed the marriage certificate as official witnesses.
Shelton has long taken his dad role very seriously. When he announced plans to retire from The Voice after Season 23, he said he was hoping to be able to devote more of his time to family.
In another Instagram Stories slide, Stefani shared a sweet photo of her youngest son, Apollo, posing with Shelton and holding up a trophy that reads “Best Step-Dad.”
Shelton wrapped up his final season as a coach on The Voice last month, but he’ll have a keepsake from the set to remind him of all the good memories: Stefani arranged for the lucky red coaches’ chair where Shelton sat during his time on the show to be delivered to their home in Oklahoma.

It’s birthday week for Gwen Stefani’s “everything cowboy” Blake Shelton! Stefani, 53, celebrated her country star husband’s 47th birthday on Instagram Sunday, sharing a sweet compilation of videos and photos from their time together.
“happy bday and fathers day, @blakeshelton <3 i love u more than anything gx," she captioned the post.
The clip included memories from their wedding, videos of them performing on stage together, and funny moments of the pair joking around at home, all set to Stefani’s forthcoming single “True Babe,” which will be released this Friday.
The “Used to Love You” singer also shared a photo of her kissing Shelton—whom she married in July 2021—on the cheek to her Instagram story, writing, “HAPPY BDAY TO MY EVERYTHING COWBOY.”
Shelton recently stepped away as a coach on The Voice after 23 seasons, and Stefani is set to return to the NBC competition series next season.
She recently had the chance to praise her husband in public when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May, as she told the crowd he was her “dream come true.”
“He’s humble, he’s genuine, and trust me, wherever we go, everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton,” she said. “Blake, you are a rare human being and for all the success that you’ve had in your life as a singer, a songwriter, a musician, a performer and entertainer, an actor, a comedian, an entrepreneur, he’s the same guy today as he was back then. A country guy with a love for country music. He’s magnetic, the most generous person you’ll ever know and always just him. No matter where he goes, making people happy, laugh, making jokes.”
As Stefani wrapped her speech, Shelton proudly said, “That’s my wife,” and they shared a hug and a kiss.
The “God’s Country” singer later praised Stefani in his own speech, saying that marrying her was the greatest thing he ever did.
“I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake,” he said.
Shelton opened up to PEOPLE in December about married life, and said he feels “settled” since tying the knot with the No Doubt rocker.
“The relationship that we have is so natural and so normal. This feels like the easiest thing I’ve ever been a part of,” he says of marriage. “To me, she’s my best friend and everything that I need and lean on.”
