The 2024 BET Awards are set to be an unforgettable night, with a star-studded lineup of performers and presenters ready to light up the stage at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles this Sunday. The latest additions to the performance roster include Childish Gambino, Chlöe, Coco Jones, Keke Palmer, Marsha Ambrosius, and Summer Walker. These artists join an already impressive list of performers, ensuring a night filled with incredible music and entertainment.

The BET Awards, known for celebrating the best in Black culture, music, and sportsmanship, will be hosted by the charismatic Taraji P. Henson for the third consecutive year. Henson will be joined by a host of presenters, including Andra Day, Colman Domingo, DC Young Fly, Devale Ellis, Jay Ellis, Jessica Betts, Ms. Pat, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Saucy Santana, among others. Their presence will ensure the awards ceremony runs smoothly and keeps the audience engaged.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to R&B legend Usher. This honor recognizes Usher’s significant contributions to the music industry and his enduring influence. In addition to the new performers, the show will feature performances by GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill & YG Marley, Megan Thee Stallion, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, Tyla, Victoria Monét, and Will Smith. Will Smith’s performance is particularly anticipated, as it marks his return to the live music stage with his first new solo song in five years.

The BET Awards will also shine a spotlight on some of the year’s most successful artists. Drake leads the nominations with seven nods, followed closely by Nicki Minaj with six. In a move towards greater inclusivity, BET Media Group will offer audio description capabilities for this year’s awards, ensuring that visually impaired viewers can fully enjoy the show. This enhancement will be available on the Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) channel, making the event more accessible to a wider audience.
