Christina Sandera, Clint Eastwood’s partner, died of a heart attack.

Christina Sandera, Clint Eastwood’s long-time partner, passed away due to a heart attack. The 94-year-old actor and director was devastated by the death of his companion of ten years, who was 61. Recent reports indicate that her death was attributed to cardiac arrhythmia, a condition that causes the heart to beat too slowly, too quickly, or irregularly.

A representative from the Monterey County Health Department has confirmed the cause of Sandera’s death. Additionally, atherosclerotic coronary artery disease was cited as another health issue contributing to her passing. This condition occurs when fatty deposits, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances build up in the walls of the arteries. This buildup can harden and narrow the blood vessels, thereby restricting blood flow throughout the body.

If these plaques rupture, they can form a blood clot that may severely block blood flow, potentially leading to a heart attack or stroke. A spokesperson for Warner Bros informed The Hollywood Reporter that no further details will be disclosed regarding Christina’s death, as Clint wishes to mourn privately.

Clint publicly acknowledged Christina’s death in a statement issued on July 18, expressing, "Christina was a lovely and loving woman, and I will miss her dearly." The couple began their relationship in 2014 after meeting while Sandera worked as a hostess at Clint’s Mission Ranch in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

They made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the 2015 Academy Awards, and although they led a relatively private life, Christina frequently accompanied Clint to various events. She was also very close to his large family. In 2018, she attended the premiere of Clint’s film "The Mule" with three of his eight children, a granddaughter, and his first wife, Margaret Johnson.

Two years later, Clint’s son, Scott Eastwood, mentioned that the entire family planned to celebrate Clint’s 90th birthday. He shared, "We’re going to do something family-oriented—very quiet, very peaceful. He doesn’t like birthdays. It’s like he says, ‘I don’t want to celebrate my birthday… We will probably bring him a cake. He might not like it, but we’ll bring one anyway."

This heartfelt message highlights not only the love Clint had for Christina but also the unity of the Eastwood family during this difficult time.
