Cuto Guadalupe open to rekindling relationship with Charlene Castro: “I learned to never say never”

Cuto Guadalupe transitioned from being an interviewer to a guest in Andrea Llosa’s new podcast, “La Capilla.” During their chat, the former football player discussed the controversial separation from the mother of his son, Charlene Castro, which was brought to light by a scandal involving infidelity that was reported by Magaly Medina.

Andrea quickly brought up the topic of the infidelity scandal, asking Cuto directly if he still loved Charlene when everything unfolded. He was quick to respond affirmatively, stating, “Yes, of course. I’ve always said it loudly.” This reaffirms that his feelings for her were sincere.

Cuto explained that prior to the scandal, things appeared to be going well between him and Charlene. However, he chose to keep the details of their private conversations regarding his infidelity to themselves, saying, “Those things will remain between her and me,” thus respecting their past relationship.

He further clarified that before the scandal broke, he was not living with Charlene anymore. “I was living with my mom, in her house. I bought an apartment for my son and for her. We had an agreement; I wasn’t going to leave my mother,” he recounted.

When Andrea asked him if he still held any love for Charlene after all this time, Cuto admitted that his feelings had diminished. “Right now, I can’t say that I do; I think I’m moving away,” he confessed, indicating that the pain and betrayal had significantly impacted his emotional connection.

However, the interview took an unexpected turn when Andrea asked if he would ever consider rekindling his relationship with Charlene. Surprisingly, he didn’t completely dismiss the idea, saying, “Only God knows. I’ve learned not to say never,” hinting at the possibility of reconciliation.

Following the backlash he received for appearing alongside his ex-partner, Cuto felt compelled to defend himself. The couple ended their relationship in 2023 due to the infidelity scandal. In a recent episode of “América Hoy,” he addressed the criticism, insisting that his private life should not be a matter of public interest and emphasizing that his family’s well-being is his priority.

“This photo was published because I wanted to; I don’t care about the ‘what will they say.’ I’m a man of God, and what others say doesn’t worry me,” he emphasized. Cuto also expressed discomfort with ongoing speculation about his personal life but remained resolute in his choices.

Despite celebrating his younger son’s birthday with Charlene, Cuto stressed that their romantic relationship has ended. “For my children, I would give my life, like any father. My son grows up in an environment of harmony and happiness, seeing his parents get along. I respect and admire Charlene; she is my son’s mother,” he said, underlining the importance of maintaining a good relationship for the sake of their child.

Cuto made it clear that his top priority is the happiness and stability of his children. He showed that, despite criticism and speculation, he focuses on being a good father and providing a harmonious environment for his family.
