After experiencing a serious health crisis earlier this year, Daniel Bisogno is gradually getting back to his life and career. This past weekend was particularly significant for the presenter, as he made his triumphant return to the theater. After several months away from the stage, he took to the spotlight in the play Lagunilla mi barrio. During this return, Daniel openly discussed his recovery process and the liver transplant he awaits, revealing that he is still looking for a suitable donor.
In a meeting with the press following his performance in Lagunilla mi barrio, Daniel addressed his health situation. He clarified that while the transplant is necessary, it isn’t an urgent procedure. "I’m on a waiting list. Sometimes I hear ‘Let’s see if someone donates to you.’ But it has to be a donor who unfortunately has to pass away since a liver can’t be like a kidney, which can be given by a living person," he explained in statements reported by the program Ventaneando.
Despite his circumstances, Daniel maintains a positive outlook. He expressed gratitude for the time he has while waiting for the transplant. "We are waiting calmly, without any rush, because I feel good. The procedure is necessary, but right now, there’s no urgent need or life-and-death situation," he stated.
He also shared his future aspirations, expressing a desire to engage in various theater projects alongside his dear friend Alejandro Gou, host a game show, and watch his daughter grow up.
According to Daniel, he faced serious health challenges when doctors discovered a severe infection that began in his stomach and spread to his lungs. This led medical professionals to investigate his liver further. "When the doctors realized how bad my liver was, they began examining it more closely. They found damage that required transplant consideration. I’ve joined a committee that decides who is eligible, and they’ve conducted many tests to qualify me for a liver transplant," he revealed during one of his appearances on Ventaneando. Currently, he ranks second on the waiting list, with only a young girl ahead of him.
