Delays Reported for Trains Traveling from Villa El Salvador to Bayóvar

Users have reported significant delays in train arrivals on Line 1 of the Lima Metro, particularly at the María Auxiliadora station. Many commuters are experiencing issues heading towards Bayóvar in San Juan de Lurigancho.

Some passengers have mentioned that a train car has malfunctioned, and they have been waiting for approximately 40 minutes without any updates on the situation. Meanwhile, in the opposite direction from San Juan de Lurigancho to Villa El Salvador, the trains appear to be moving, but they frequently stop abruptly for a few seconds before starting again.

A frustrated traveler shared on Facebook, “Staff on Line 1 are not informing passengers that there has been no service for over 30 minutes because one of the trains broke down at Villa María.” This lack of communication has contributed to the confusion among commuters as they continue to queue.

The service concessionaire has acknowledged the situation, stating, “Dear passengers, we are currently experiencing delays in service from Villa El Salvador to María Auxiliadora station. We are working to normalize train operations as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.”
