Dr Disrespect Denies Wrongdoing Amid New Twitch Ban Allegations

Tristan Tate, brother of Andrew Tate, recently came to the defense of Dr DisRespect amid allegations of sexting a minor. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the former kickboxer dismissed the claims, stating, “So @DrDisrespect is based as f**k. He’s a tall jacked handsome bastard that no doubt has women throwing themselves at him (I know how it is). Some of his opinions upset people and his voice is loud. ‘He’s a sexual predator’ now? Sorry… I just don’t f**king believe you.”

Dr DisRespect, a prominent Twitch personality, was abruptly banned from the platform in 2020 without any explanation, leaving fans puzzled. The mystery surrounding his departure became one of Twitch’s most significant controversies. Recently, former Twitch staff member Cody Conners alleged on Twitter that Dr DisRespect was banned for sexting a minor via Twitch whispers and planning to meet the minor at TwitchCon. Streaming reporter Jake Lucky amplified these claims, directly implicating Dr DisRespect.

Dr DisRespect, whose real name is Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, denied the allegations, asserting that “no wrongdoing was acknowledged” and the issue had been settled with a contractual payout. He responded to the allegations on social media, stating, “I get it, it’s a hot topic but this has been settled, no wrongdoing was acknowledged and they paid out the whole contract.”

Despite his denial, the internet was not content with his response, pointing out that he did not directly deny the allegations. Dr DisRespect later posted a longer statement, reiterating that he did not do anything wrong and that everything had been settled legally.

The controversy has drawn various reactions from the gaming community. Robert Bowling, the studio lead for Midnight Society, a Dr DisRespect video game project, announced that he is starting an investigation into the matter. Popular creator Nickmercs also defended Dr DisRespect, emphasizing the principle of ‘innocent until proven guilty.’

Dr DisRespect now actively streams on YouTube to more than 4 million subscribers. Despite it being years after the Twitch ban controversy, the mystery lingers.
