Drew Barrymore had fans doing a double-take when she unveiled a dramatic new look on Friday. The 49-year-old actress, known for her signature dark locks, transformed into a blonde bombshell, reminiscent of her iconic role in “Charlie’s Angels.”
The stunning makeover was orchestrated by none other than Kim Kardashian’s go-to hairstylist, Chris Appleton, and renowned makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury. Drew’s long blonde hair was styled into soft waves, and her makeup featured a striking gray and black smokey eye, glossy lips, and a radiant complexion.
In one photo, Drew donned a white silk blouse with a plunging neckline and a matching satin jacket. In another, she posed with Chris, wearing a slogan gray T-shirt and cream pants. The transformation was so striking that fans were left in awe.
Chris shared the images on his Instagram account, alongside a throwback photo of Drew and Cameron Diaz from the “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” premiere in 2003. The resemblance was uncanny, and it was clear that the iconic look from the film served as the inspiration for Drew’s new appearance.
Fans were quick to express their admiration for Drew’s new look. One commented, “OMG she looks insane!” while another added, “Drew really needs to be blonde, it looks so good on her.” A third fan gushed, “I think this is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen you, Drew. Absolutely gorgeous. Chris always nails it!”
Drew’s bold new look comes after she revealed a humorous yet frustrating experience of being catfished on a dating site. In January, she shared on her talk show how a stranger pretended to be NFL star Matthew Stafford to win her over.
“This guy on my dating app said he was the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams,” Drew explained. “So, I wrote to him, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I went to the first practice game. I was so frustrated being a girl from Los Angeles who loves football, and we didn’t have any teams, and then I moved away to New York and then we got two teams and—it’s nice to meet you, my name is Drew.'”
However, Drew quickly realized she had been deceived. “He was not the quarterback for the L.A. Rams,” she said. “He’s a musician that thought he was being cute.” The man even had the audacity to call her ‘Drewski,’ which only added to her frustration.
“The guy was like, ‘Hey Drewski,’ and I was like, ‘I hate you. You pithy, deceiving, playful—you’ve made me feel stupid. I don’t know who you are. I feel so dumb. Why did we have to get off on this foot? I hate you!'” Drew recounted.
Despite the awkward encounter, Drew took it in stride and sought advice from her audience. Many understood her disappointment, with her co-host Ross Matthews adding, “You should feel lied to – robbed.”
For Drew, the experience was a reminder of the challenges of dating in the public eye. But it also highlighted her resilience and sense of humor, qualities that have endeared her to fans for decades.
Drew’s transformation into a blonde bombshell is a nod to her iconic role in “Charlie’s Angels,” a film that remains beloved by fans. The movie, which also starred Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, was a box office hit and cemented Drew’s status as a Hollywood icon.
As Drew continues to reinvent herself, both personally and professionally, her fans eagerly await what she will do next. Whether it’s a new film project, a talk show segment, or a stunning makeover, Drew Barrymore never fails to captivate and inspire.
