Dua Lipa Rocks Edgy Leather Boots at Glastonbury Festival 2024 Day Three

Dua Lipa headlined The Pyramid Stage during day three of Glastonbury Festival 2024 on Friday in Glastonbury, England. The “Dance The Night” singer owned the stage alongside acts like K-Pop group Seventeen, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, Olivia Dean, and Squeeze, among others. Lipa’s setlist for the festival included hits like “Pretty Please” and “Training Season.”

Taking over the stage, Lipa sported black leather calf-length boots. The jet-black style featured glossy leather uppers, knife-like pointed toes, subtle silver hardware, and short 1 to 2-inch heels, offering the singer lots of movement while performing. While leather boots are primarily saved for the colder months, the style is impactful in warmer weather, offering any look an edgy feel.

On the outfit front, Lipa risked it all in a leather look. The star’s edgy look included a leather halter dress that was layered beneath a chunky silver-studded belt. Additionally, Lipa’s dress included a plunging neckline fitted with a lace-up closure and cut-outs, while the skirt was tattered and fitted with safety pins.

When it comes to shoes, Lipa often goes bold. The “Levitating” singer’s go-to styles are usually retro and bright, such as Mach & Mach pumps, Bottega Veneta platforms, and Prada boots. However, there’s no heel too high for the musician; she’s also worn six-inch heels from brands like GCDS. For more casual ensembles, the singer can also be spotted in sneakers, slides, and boots from Miu Miu, Balenciaga, and Natasha Zinko.

Founded by Michael Eavis in 1970, Glastonbury Festival features around 3,000 performances across over 80 stages. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and iconic Pyramid Stage, the festival offers a diverse lineup of music and arts, embodying a spirit of community, creativity, and environmental consciousness. The festival is sectioned off into different stages and takes place from the 26th through the 30th of June.

Dua Lipa came to the UK’s beloved Glastonbury Festival ready to bring the audience joy with her endless hit songs and upbeat dance moves — but she also brought some major fashion moments with her five outfit changes. Lipa’s explosive headlining set on Friday, June 28, closed the festival’s third day with several raucous dance numbers and proved the pop star worthy of her continued success. Lipa took the Pyramid Stage in front of nearly 100,000 people at the festival held in the Vale of Avalon in Somerset County, England.

In between her songs and electric dance numbers, the singer and host of the Dua Lipa: At Your Service podcast briefly spoke about how she “manifested” headlining Glastonbury. “I’ve written this moment down and wished for it and dreamt it and worked so hard,” Lipa said. “It’s a lot, innit? A lot to take in… Little me would just be beside herself right now.”

Lipa ran through her hits including “Training Season,” “One Kiss,” “Levitating,” “Houdini,” and more throughout her performance that lasted just under two hours. She also surprised the crowd by bringing out one of her collaborators Kevin Parker of Tame Impala to perform his song, “The Less I Know the Better.” Parker worked with Lipa on her third studio album Radical Optimism — released this year.

Despite the limitations of the shorter festival runtime, Dua Lipa managed to switch up her outfits five times throughout her set. Styled by fashion powerhouse Jahleel Weaver — who has famously worked with Rihanna for years — Lipa’s looks came together as part of her current Radical Optimism Tour. Weaver told British Vogue that he had about a month to prepare Lipa’s five custom-made outfits for Glastonbury and created them based on the act in Lipa’s show.

“This isn’t Coachella! But Dua Lipa is still one of the biggest pop stars in the world and so we had to make sure the looks felt just as ‘stage appropriate,’” Weaver said. “It was easy to pull off because she’s so open, so fun, and will try anything.”

Here are all five looks:

1. Black leather minidress designed by Jesse Jo Stark of Chrome Hearts
2. Versace slip dress
3. Chainmail shorts and belt by Michael Schmidt
4. Acne Studios t-shirt skirt and top set
5. Loewe bodysuit and belt with custom Gianvito Rossi boots

Following her headlining show and its parade of outfits, Lipa offered one more festival look, this time as an attendee. Walking the festival grounds with her boyfriend Callum Turner, the singer went simple in a white cropped tank top and a leather skirt with a thigh-high split, which she layered over a pair of black lace shorts. She topped off her outfit with slouchy black leather boots and black wraparound sunglasses, bringing her fabulous festival looks to a close.
