Gabriel Soto Reveals Details About His Breakup with Irina Baeva

Gabriel Soto addressed the questions that arose after he announced his breakup with Irina Baeva.

During a press meeting at the theater where he stars in the play ‘El precio de la fama,’ the actor denied informing the Russian actress about their separation through a message, as claimed by Lucho Borrego, the host of ‘Siéntese quien pueda.’

“It was already discussed and agreed that we would release the statement. It was said that I ended the relationship through a message, but that’s not true. This was something that had been discussed for a long time and we mutually agreed that the relationship should end,” he revealed.

The telenovela star stated that the separation was due to irreconcilable differences: “We had been trying to resolve issues for some time. Ultimately, relationships end when a couple can’t understand each other anymore.”

Although Gabriel said in the statement that he wouldn’t comment on the breakup, he disclosed during his media encounter that they attended couples therapy with his ‘Vino el amor’ co-star to try to rebuild their relationship, but it didn’t work.

“We went to couples therapy and did many things to try to save the relationship,” he admitted.

Gabriel also emphasized that the breakup was amicable: “It ended on good terms because it’s important to end things with love and good vibes. I always wish her the best, as I mentioned in the statement. It was a long relationship that should always be cherished.”

He did not reveal the specific reason for the separation: “The reason is very personal, something that stays between us. We couldn’t salvage it, and that’s how life is sometimes; cycles need to close.”

Regarding actress Olga Bresskin’s comment on alleged mistreatment of Irina Baeva by Gabriel, the 49-year-old Mexican actor denied any mistreatment.

“Not at all. I believe Olga later retracted her comments; I’m not sure why she said that, but I have never mistreated Irina,” he stated.

Finally, Gabriel Soto shared how he is coping with the separation: “I’m focused on my daughters, which is the most important thing; on my health, the second most important thing; and on my work, surrounded by the love of my family and navigating through the process as it should be,” he concluded.
