Gabriel Soto Supports Geraldine Bazán in Her Lawsuit Against Maxine Woodside

Gabriel Soto Supports Geraldine Bazán’s Legal Action Against Journalist

Actor Gabriel Soto has voiced his support for his ex-wife Geraldine Bazán’s legal action against journalist Maxine Woodside, following offensive comments Woodside made about the actress.

Soto expressed his opinion during an interview at the theater where he performs in the play "El precio de la fama." He stated, "I care a lot for Maxine, but in this case, there is a thin line between freedom of expression and insulting, especially involving our daughters."

The comments in question revolved around how Bazán conceived her first daughter with Soto. Woodside claimed that Bazán got pregnant on her first night with Soto, implying that the pregnancy was unplanned. Soto described these remarks as inappropriate and supported Bazán’s legal response, "She spoke a bit rudely, especially about Elisa. I fully support what Geraldine did."

Despite his support, Soto has not decided whether he will join the legal case. "It’s a lawsuit she filed. I don’t know if I will join, but I totally support her, one hundred percent," he said.

Over time, it seems that Bazán and Soto’s relationship has improved. The former couple has resumed communication after a highly publicized separation, which was marred by rumors of Soto’s infidelity with Irina Baeva—a rumor confirmed by Baeva herself, a former participant in "La Casa de los Famosos 4."

Soto also revealed that Bazán was informed about his breakup with Baeva before it became public. “The last time I talked to Geraldine, I was explaining the situation because it obviously affects our daughters. It was important for her to know since it impacts the entire family,” he shared.

On July 16, Soto officially announced his separation from Baeva through his Instagram stories. He conveyed, "With the deepest respect and affection, we want to share that after years of love, support, and commitment, we have decided to end our relationship. These years have been full of learning and experiences that both of us will cherish and for which we will always be grateful."
