Geraldine Bazán Takes Legal Action Against Maxine Woodside

Geraldine Bazán has taken legal action against journalist Maxine Woodside following controversial comments made about the conception of Bazán’s firstborn.

The actress promptly filed a legal process to prevent the journalist from making further comments about her and her daughters, Elisa Marie and Alexa Miranda. Additionally, Woodside is prohibited from any contact with Bazán and her daughters, as stated in official documents from the Fiscalía General de Justicia de la Ciudad de México, shared by various media outlets and journalists.

If Maxine Woodside fails to comply with this order, she will face consequences. According to the legal documents, "For non-compliance by the accused (Maxine Woodside Sotomayor) with the protection measures decreed in favor of the victim (Geraldine Bazán and her daughters), a fine will be imposed as a coercive measure."

What Did Maxine Woodside Say About Geraldine Bazán?

On her radio show ‘Todo para la mujer,’ the host mentioned that Elisa Marie was conceived during a one-night adventure between Gabriel Soto and Bazán. According to Woodside, the actors had no other choice but to marry due to the pregnancy.

Woodside commented, "What else was Geraldine Bazán going to talk about if not how she was deceived? First, how did she marry? They went out one night, and she got pregnant that night."

Co-host Vicky López added, "She even mentioned the name of the hotel where they met. A month later, she told Gabriel, ‘Guess what? That night did the trick.’"

Woodside further commented, "It was just the tip, but guess what? That day did the trick."

Geraldine Bazán, along with her mother, Rosalba Ortiz, strongly rejected these statements. Ortiz expressed her outrage to various media outlets, stating, "Once again, I am addressing Maxine (Woodside). Maxine continues to bother my family; she keeps talking. Now she attacks me. If she thinks she can scare me or her team, which I know well, she is mistaken. It doesn’t hurt me coming from them, but it does coming from her, a woman who has been used for many years."

Ortiz went on to say, "I used to call her ‘my dear Maxine.’ Now, I call her ‘my not-so-dear Maxine.’ I haven’t heard a single apology. She must apologize because she not only offended my daughter but also my eldest granddaughter. Imagine that."

Moreover, Ortiz accused the journalist of being involved with married men. "She has experienced violence from a person who has lived in the public eye, living off ‘sugar daddies’ who left their families for her," she said.

Ortiz concluded, "She has no right to judge others. Given her audacity in speaking this way, I have looked into her career, and her career involves sitting down, getting her makeup and hair done, and talking about others. She is not like an actor, a firefighter, or a doctor who has worked hard. She doesn’t have a journalist’s degree."
