The mother-son duo, who have been fan favorites since joining the Channel 4 show in 2019, returned to screens this summer after Linda’s recovery from a serious fall in Marbella.
While many viewers were thrilled to see Linda back, some were upset by Rylan’s frequent corrections of his mother’s pronunciation, which they felt were humiliating. A notable incident occurred when Linda mispronounced “antihistamine” as “anterhistermine,” and Rylan insisted she repeat it correctly. Linda, visibly frustrated, exclaimed, “I’m not stupid, so stop trying to make it sound like I am!” Rylan defended himself, saying he was just trying to help her get it right.
