Gwyneth Paltrow believes that life starts getting good at 40. The 51-year-old founder of Goop shared her thoughts on aging during a recent online video session with her millions of followers. She mentioned that she has eased up on her fitness obsession and now that she’s in her fifties, she feels less pressured by how others perceive her.
In one of her Instagram Stories, Gwyneth responded to a follower who had just turned 40. The user asked her to reassure them that life is not over. In a cheerful clip filmed in her lush backyard, Gwyneth smiled and said, “At 40, things are just starting to get good, Kate. Everything begins to fall into place.”
During the video, she wore a light cream sweater and blue jeans, showing a very natural look with minimal makeup. Gwyneth also expressed that these days she prefers staying in rather than going out. She shared a photo of herself and her second husband, Brad Falchuk, enjoying a quiet moment by a fountain.
Gwyneth married Brad, who is 53, in 2018, two years after her divorce from her first husband, Chris Martin, the 47-year-old lead singer of Coldplay. She and Chris share two children, Apple, who is now 20, and Moses, who is 18. Gwyneth famously described their separation as a “conscious uncoupling” in 2014.
In a conversation with the Sunday Times earlier this year, Gwyneth opened up about her more relaxed attitude towards life as she embraces her fifties. She reflected on the online trolling she has experienced, stating, “I don’t care; I couldn’t care less. I’m 50 now, and I couldn’t care less what other people think.”
She shared how she now ensures to include rest days in her schedule. “I love doing nothing on Sundays, watching TV, not cooking, and ordering takeout. I really need a lazy day,” she admitted, showcasing her new approach to life.
