Impact on Survivor Expedition Robinson: One of the Favorite Contestants Eliminated

During Monday’s episode of Survivor: Expedición Robinson on Telefe, the latest contestant to be eliminated from the show was revealed. This marks the third participant to leave the competition since it began on July 15.

The red team had to go to tribal council to vote on who would be eliminated. The only contestant immune from nomination was Inés, who had just won individual immunity hours before the vote at the North Camp.

After the voting took place, the contestant receiving the most votes against him was Martín, also known as "Lobo" or "Bomber," a professional firefighter, with a total of seven votes. Gabriel followed with three votes against him.

Upon his elimination, Martín bid farewell to his teammates with an uplifting message. “Let’s go all out! Tomorrow, I want to see you all as winners. See you outside, and don’t forget that you’re my little chicks,” he said. Fiorella summarized the sentiment shared by the group, saying, “Knowing you has truly been a gift for us. Your presence reminded each of us of someone special in our lives. At times, you were like a father, a friend, and a teacher to us. We all agree that you’re the closest thing to a superhero we’ve ever met. We love you and wish you a safe journey home.”

“Thank you, guys! I’m waiting for you for a barbecue,” Martin responded as he said his goodbyes. He added, “I take everything from this experience with me. Truly, everything, especially the incredible human group we had.”

A touching moment occurred when Giselle Margaroni, a member of the South Camp, revealed she is a survivor of the Cromañón tragedy that took place on December 30, 2004. Meanwhile, Martín had been one of the rescuers on that tragic night when 194 lives were lost. Marley praised Martín for his heroic work and acknowledged the challenging situations he faced as a firefighter, thanking him for his help in those difficult times.

Giselle then expressed her emotional connection to Martín’s story. “I wanted to interrupt for a moment. I was so focused on the game that I didn’t fully hear what was said. I am a Cromañón survivor, and I know you were a rescuer. I just wanted to hug you because I’m alive because of you,” she said, tears in her eyes as they embraced.

Reflecting on this profound moment, Giselle added, “When I heard you were a firefighter, it didn’t register at first because I was so caught up in the game. Later, it really hit me. That’s why I felt compelled to hug you and talk to you. I’d love to have a deeper conversation with you someday.”

In closing, she reiterated the gravity of their shared experiences, saying, “We are a survivor and a rescuer. My experience was really intense because I was right at the front. It was incredibly hard to escape. Firefighters gave everything, and many lost their lives trying to save others. They have an extraordinary job.” Martín, deeply moved by her words, thanked her for the kindness behind her sentiment.
