Jessica Biel was seen back at work just hours after her husband, Justin Timberlake, was arrested on DWI-related charges in the Hamptons. The 42-year-old actress appeared somber as she filmed scenes for her upcoming Prime Video thriller series, “The Better Sister,” in New York City on Tuesday.
Biel, who has been married to the 10-time Grammy winner since 2012, was photographed on set in uptown Manhattan. She wore a striped bodycon maxi dress, accessorized with gold jewelry, including a thick chain necklace, a watch, and a gold ring. Her hair was styled in a short bob cut.
Timberlake, 43, was pulled over in Sag Harbor, NY, and taken into custody after being cited for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. According to reports, Timberlake was with friends at the American Hotel on Main Street before driving off around 12:30 a.m. He refused to take a breathalyzer test after officers performed a field sobriety test on him.
The “Cry Me a River” singer was seen in handcuffs as he was led by police and later leaving a local police station with his attorney. He appeared in court on Tuesday and was released without bail. Timberlake’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 26.
Biel, who shares two children with Timberlake, was also seen filming her upcoming show before her husband’s arrest. On the day of Timberlake’s arrest, she was spotted in Central Park with her co-stars Corey Stoll and Elizabeth Banks. The trio was dressed in medieval clothing for the series, which is based on Alafair Burke’s 2019 novel about two estranged sisters forced together after one of their husbands is murdered.
Neither Biel nor Timberlake has publicly commented on the arrest. Timberlake’s attorney stated that he looks forward to “vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations” and is awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office.
Timberlake has been on his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” since April and has concerts scheduled in Chicago this Friday and Saturday. He also has shows booked at Madison Square Garden on June 25 and June 26.
Jessica Biel was seen on the Manhattan set of “The Better Sister” on June 18, just hours after her husband was charged with driving while intoxicated and released from police custody in Long Island, NY. With her hair in a sleek bob, Biel wore a striped black-and-tan dress as she filmed scenes for the new series. The day before, she was spotted shooting the Amazon Prime Video project with co-stars Elizabeth Banks and Corey Stoll in Central Park.
This was the first time the 42-year-old was seen out since Timberlake’s arrest, which occurred shortly after midnight when Sag Harbor police pulled him over for driving through a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane of traffic. Upon investigation, officers noticed that Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” with a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.” Police also noted that the 43-year-old had “slowed speech” and was “unable to divide attention” throughout the encounter.
Authorities said Timberlake “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests” and refused to be tested for impairment multiple times, allegedly telling officers, “No, I’m not doing a chemical test.” Timberlake was held in police custody until his morning arraignment, after which he was released without bail.
A source with knowledge of the situation previously told E! News that the “SexyBack” singer was at dinner with friends before his run-in with the cops. “As he left the restaurant, there was a patrol car seemingly stationed near the restaurant,” the insider shared. “He was stopped and was arrested. Nobody was hurt.”
Jessica Biel is all about her job in the aftermath of her husband Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest. The actress was spotted filming her new show, “The Better Sister,” Tuesday in NYC, where she appeared unfazed by her husband’s recent legal drama in Sag Harbor. Jessica stunned in her costume for the Prime Video series, wearing a body-hugging black and tan dress while sporting a chic bob. The actress, who has been married to the *NSYNC alum since 2012, smiled wide while waiting for her moment in front of the camera.
She was later photographed with a serious expression on her face, but she could have just been focusing on a scene. Though, we wouldn’t blame Biel if she had other things on her mind. As previously reported, Timberlake was pulled over in Sag Harbor Monday night after blowing through a stop sign and swerving on the road. According to sources, Justin was enjoying a night out with friends at the American Hotel before getting behind the wheel of his gray BMW UT. He was stopped by police a little over a mile from the hotel, where officers performed a field sobriety test on him.
While Timberlake refused to take a breathalyzer test, cops say the singer had bloodshot/glassy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and slowed speech at the time. They slapped cuffs on Justin and took him to jail, where he spent the night. He was arraigned and released without bail Tuesday morning, looking downcast as he exited the courthouse with his attorney.
So far, Jessica and Justin have remained tight-lipped about his arrest, though he’s expected in court on July 26. Timberlake is also continuing his “Forget Tomorrow” world tour, with his two shows in Chicago still a go for Friday and Saturday.
