Jon Voight, the father of Angelina Jolie, believes that his daughter has been influenced by propaganda. He made these remarks while discussing her views on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, suggesting that they have been shaped by "antisemitic" individuals.
In an interview with Variety, Voight stated, "She has been exposed to propaganda. She has been influenced by antisemitic people. Angie is associated with the UN and enjoys advocating for refugees, but these people are not refugees." This comment referred to Angelina’s former role as a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Voight, who is known for his pro-Israel stance, expressed pride in both his daughter and his granddaughter, Vivienne, 16, following the success of their musical ‘The Outsiders,’ which won four Tony Awards this year, including Best Musical. Speaking to TMZ about their achievement, he said, "I am very proud of Vivienne. I am very proud of Angie because she truly encourages each child to be what they want to be. I’m sure Angie contributed to the actors. She is a great director."
In addition to Vivienne, Angelina, the star of ‘Maleficent,’ has five other children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, who is 60. Their children include Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and Knox, who is a twin with Vivienne.
Voight has previously criticized Angelina for her posts against Israel, labeling them as "lies." In a November Instagram post, he expressed his disappointment that his daughter, like many others, does not understand "God’s honor and God’s truths." Angelina has accused Israel of "deliberately bombing children, women, and families, depriving them of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid."
