Josh Hartnett recently shared a memorable experience he had with his daughters at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London. The actor, known for his roles in films like “Oppenheimer” and his guest appearance in “The Bear” season 3, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the unique event. Hartnett, 45, described the concert as a full-circle moment, especially given his character’s Swiftie status in the FX dramedy.
During the interview, Hartnett recounted how his on-screen fiancée, played by Gillian Jacobs, humorously suggested that his character, Frank, would have a “stockpile of Taylor Swift friendship bracelets.” This led Hartnett to share his own real-life experience at the concert. “Oh, sure. Of course, you’d have the friendship bracelets, especially since they got those concert tickets last season. Funnily enough, I went to the Eras Tour with my daughters recently, and it was wild,” he said.
Hartnett described the concert as a “good event for my daughters’ first concert.” He added, “I’ve never experienced anything like it: 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium losing their minds, including my two daughters. And people were so respectful, my daughters were given so many bracelets, and everything was really sweet.”
Hartnett and his wife, Tamsin Egerton, share four children. The couple, who began dating in 2012 and married in 2021, have kept their family life private. They welcomed their first daughter in 2015, followed by two more children in 2017 and 2019. Earlier this year, Hartnett casually announced that they had quietly welcomed their fourth child.
“I have four kids, I live in the countryside,” Hartnett shared with Gold Derby. “I’m busy either working or taking care of them, but thank you.”
The Eras Tour concert was not Hartnett’s first encounter with a large crowd of enthusiastic music fans. His upcoming film, “Trap,” is partially inspired by Swift’s record-breaking worldwide tour. The movie follows a father, played by Hartnett, who takes his daughter to see pop star Lady Raven, only to discover that the event is a trap set by police to catch a serial killer. Director M. Night Shyamalan described the film as “What if The Silence of the Lambs happened at a Taylor Swift concert?”
Hartnett’s experience at the Eras Tour was a significant moment for him and his daughters. He emphasized the positive atmosphere and the kindness of the fans, who shared friendship bracelets with his daughters. The concert was a special event for his family, marking his daughters’ first live music experience.
Swift’s Eras Tour has been a massive success, drawing huge crowds and featuring a three-hour concert series. The tour’s European leg began in May, with performances in cities like Paris and Dublin. Swift’s concerts have been attended by numerous celebrities, including her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and friends like Cara Delevingne and Nicola Coughlan.
During her performance at Wembley Stadium, Swift spoke about the significance of her album “Folklore,” which she described as a transformative project. She shared how the album helped her grow as an artist and provided an escape during the COVID-19 pandemic. Swift’s set included songs from “Folklore” and its follow-up album, “Evermore,” captivating the 90,000-plus crowd.
Hartnett’s reflection on the concert highlights the impact of Swift’s music and the sense of community among her fans. The actor’s experience at the Eras Tour with his daughters was a unique and unforgettable event, showcasing the power of music to bring people together.
