Kris Jenner recently underwent a hysterectomy after doctors discovered a tumor on one of her ovaries. The 68-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian family was visibly emotional when she shared the news with her family, explaining that she needed to have her ovaries removed due to a found cyst and a "small tumor."
Following medical advice, it was recommended that she undergo a complete hysterectomy to ensure her health and prevent any potential growth in the future. During the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kris spoke with her friends Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick about her situation. "I’m going to have a hysterectomy," she said. "It started just with the removal of my ovaries, and today I received a call saying they found something. We’re here to talk about it. I’m going to remove something that gave me the six best parts of my life."
Kris, who is the mother of Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie, admitted to feeling quite emotional about the procedure. Speaking directly to the camera, she expressed, "I’m really sensitive about this because when you’re young, you talk about wanting a family. That was all we discussed for 40 or 50 years. Now we’re talking about the other side of it."
In a teaser for an upcoming episode airing on July 18, she shared that she felt great after her surgery. Last week, viewers saw Kris tearfully gather Kim, Khloé, and Kendall to inform them of her diagnosis. "I wanted to tell you something because I hadn’t said anything yet, but I went to the doctor, and they did a scan. They found… and this makes me very emotional, but… they found a cyst and a small tumor on my ovary," she revealed.
Kris further explained her feelings about the procedure, saying, "I’m really excited about it because you know how helpful they [her ovaries] have been with you. If I can get through a hip replacement, I can get through this. I’m not even nervous because I’ll be asleep. I’m not nervous about Dr. A; she’s the best doctor in the world. But this is real. It’s also about aging, and it feels like a sign that we’re closing a chapter of our lives. It’s the silliest thing, but I love you all, and I just wanted you to know."
Kris’s journey highlights the emotional complexities surrounding health and family, particularly as one navigates the challenges that come with aging. For more insights into her story, you can check out additional details on Kris Jenner’s Hysterectomy.
