Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky Reunite for His 54th Birthday Amid Split
Despite their separation, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky came together to celebrate his 54th birthday on Tuesday. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 55, and her estranged husband were seen dining with their four daughters at Catch Steak in West Hollywood.
Mauricio, the founder of The Agency real estate firm and star of “Buying Beverly Hills,” appeared to be in high spirits during the family outing. He was seen smiling and flashing a rock and roll sign with his hands. For the occasion, he wore a white T-shirt under a gray blazer, paired with faded gray jeans, black sneakers, and a long black chain necklace.
Kyle Richards looked equally stylish in a gold silk button-down blouse, white jeans, and heels. She accessorized her outfit with a gold chain link necklace and carried a Hermés turquoise crocodile Birkin bag, valued at $127,000. Their daughters also dressed to impress, with Sophia Umansky, 24, wearing an unbuttoned white shirt, baggy faded jeans, and open-toed silver heels. She was accompanied by her boyfriend, Jake Zingerman, and was later seen chatting with her “Buying Beverly Hills” co-star Melissa Platt.
Their youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, 16, opted for a short-sleeve black T-shirt, black pants, and boots. She posed for a sweet photo with her dad, who was grinning widely while wrapping his arm around her. Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, 35, and Alexia Umansky, 28, also attended the dinner, although they were not photographed. Alexia did, however, wish her dad a happy birthday via Instagram Stories, sharing a snap of them hugging at the dinner.
The family gathering came just days after they all reunited to gift Portia a $90,000 Porsche for her 16th birthday. Prior to that, the family of six had come together for Portia’s actual birthday in March.
Page Six confirmed that Richards and Umansky had separated in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage. The two continued living together until Richards confirmed in May that Umansky had moved out of their Los Angeles home. “I always knew when that day came it would feel strange, very real all of a sudden. And that’s exactly what happened. I’m a mom of four, I have a busy household,” she said on a May 14 episode of the “Bitch Bible” podcast. Richards recalled feeling “strange” when she found out he packed up his things and left while she was “out of town” for a weekend.
Despite their separation, the couple has made it clear that their family remains a priority. Richards has praised her daughters for their support during this challenging time. “They just have been the most unbelievable source of support for me. It’s funny because I am the mom, but they are giving me advice and they’re just so smart and so together,” she said in an interview. “Obviously, as a mom, I worry about them first. But they really have been taking care of me, too. These have been some of my most proud moments as a mom, honestly. How they’ve handled all this.”
Richards and Umansky have not yet spoken about the possibility of divorce, despite it being “potentially something that could happen down the line.” Richards clarified that they “haven’t gone that route yet” and that any claims regarding their divorce are untrue. Their marital issues have been playing out on Season 13 of “RHOBH,” with Richards’ close friend Morgan Wade also making headlines for her scenes in the series. Despite rumors, Richards has maintained that her relationship with Wade is purely platonic.
Umansky, on the other hand, has been linked to his “Dancing With the Stars” pro partner Emma Slater. Although they were spotted holding hands, Umansky has denied that they are dating. Richards admitted that seeing the photos of them together was “very hard” during her guest appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.” “That hurt my feelings,” she said. “I don’t know if anything has happened yet, but obviously, there is something there.”
Despite their separation, Richards and Umansky have shown that they can still come together for important family events. Their reunion for Umansky’s birthday is a testament to their commitment to their family, even amid their personal challenges.
