Transmilenio is currently experiencing operational issues in Soacha, at the Portal del Sur, and along Calle 80. Here’s the latest update as of 6 AM.
Calle 80 is facing serious congestion in the east-west direction, leading to the cancellation of the feeder service at Portal 80. The dual route D81 is now returning at this portal. Affected zonal routes include C102, C153, C154, C155, D208, and T21.
On the Autopista Sur, the highway is still blocked. The main fleet is rerouting at the Portal del Sur, and the circular San Mateo route has stopped operating. The stations Bosa, La Despensa, Terreros Hospital CV, and San Mateo C.C. Unisur are currently not providing service. The feeder routes impacted are 10-1 Av Bosa, 10-2 Bosa Centro, 10-3 Alban Carbonel, 10-3 Alameda, 10-4 Laureles, 10-5 Terminal, and 10-6 Perdomo.
In zonal areas, routes G514 Bosa San José and GG524 are disrupted. There’s also a blockage at Calle 91 sur with Carrera 5 Este, affecting routes 3-4 Alfonso López and 3-14 Uval.
The situation has already extended to the Transmilenio Portal del Sur. With the fleet reverting, there is currently no service in that area of the city.
Residents of Soacha are now forced to walk due to the lack of transportation caused by the taxi drivers’ blockades that began in the early hours of Tuesday, July 23.
Taxi drivers initiated their protests early in the morning, creating significant traffic issues on the entry routes to the capital, including the Autopista Sur from Soacha and Calle 80.
The taxi strike taking place on July 23 was announced weeks in advance, driven by driver complaints about digital platforms and rising gasoline prices.
