Margot Robbie is expecting her first child with her husband, Tom Ackerley. The 34-year-old star of ‘Barbie’ was spotted with a noticeable baby bump as she boarded a boat during a vacation at Lake Como with Tom, who is also 34. Multiple sources have confirmed that the couple is indeed awaiting their first baby together.
Photos obtained by DailyMail.com on Sunday, July 7, 2024, showed the Hollywood actress proudly displaying her baby bump in a white crop top.
Margot and Tom met in 2013 while working on the film ‘Suite Française,’ a drama set during World War II. They tied the knot in 2016 and have since co-produced several film projects through their production company, LuckyCap Entertainment.
This pregnancy marks a significant shift from Margot’s previous stance on romance and settling down. She once shared with People magazine how she fell in love with Tom. “I was the quintessential single girl. The thought of relationships made me want to throw up. And then this surprised me. We were friends for a long time. I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he will never like me back. Don’t make it awkward, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him you like him.’ Then it happened, and I thought, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, like nothing ever had before.'”
In another interview with the Daily Telegraph, Margot revealed that ensuring regular visits with Tom was the key to maintaining their healthy relationship. “The most helpful thing I’ve learned from other couples in this industry is to never go more than three weeks without seeing each other. Being in a long-distance relationship can be very tough when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. It can mess with your head, so the three-week rule is crucial.”
Throughout their relationship, Margot and Tom have largely kept their personal lives private, not walking the red carpet together until 2017, nearly a year after their wedding.
