Megan Thee Stallion has expressed her desire for Beyoncé to run for President of the United States. The 29-year-old rapper believes that the 42-year-old superstar possesses the qualities needed to unite the nation, and she feels that Beyoncé wouldn’t even need to campaign.
During a candid interview with Shannon Sharpe on "Club Shay Shay," Megan shared her admiration for Beyoncé, saying, "I adore her. She is THE woman. Beyoncé is THE person. If Beyoncé decided, ‘I want to run this m***,’ I think we’d all line up and say, ‘Alright, write Beyoncé’s name on the ballot.’"
Megan attributed her inspiration for launching her own tequila brand to Beyoncé, revealing that the superstar encouraged her to create her own product. "Beyoncé is the person who really inspired me to have my own tequila because I used to be the queen of cognac," Megan explained. "I still am the queen of cognac. But, as much as I loved cognac and promoted many brands, she told me, ‘Next time I see you, you need to have your own… You need to have your own alcohol.’ I thought, ‘You know what? You’re right, queen. I’m going to have my own m***.’ Now, I have my own tequila, and I’ve been serving it on my entire tour, and everyone loves it. I feel like this has definitely put me in a position to learn how to be my own boss."
Furthermore, Megan recalled the advice she received from Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, regarding her decision to part ways with her record label and pursue independence. She said, "When I was in the situation I was in and wanted to get out, they told me, ‘You have to do it on your own. You know what it is; you have all the tools and the legal paperwork that you’re going through right now. I know you’re learning something, so you should be able to figure out how to move forward and be your own boss.’"
