President Javier Milei took part in the official launch of the ILAN Foundation (Israel Latin America Network) and received the Political Innovation Award, which is given annually to political leaders in the Latin American region.
“All men have a connection with the divine. It’s a channel that links us to the forces of the heavens. It allows us to achieve the impossible,” Milei affirmed.
In a brief speech upon receiving the award, the head of state stated that “embarking on a path of innovation can pave the way for Argentina’s growth.”
This doesn’t sit well with authoritarians
The practice of professional and critical journalism is a fundamental pillar of democracy. That’s why it disturbs those who believe they own the truth.
“We are a rich country with human capital. We have just been persisting with incorrect formulas for too long,” emphasized the national leader. Milei received the Political Innovation Award.
The President confirmed the country’s alignment with Israel and expressed his hope that this alliance would bear fruit for the nation.
“I hope the launch of ILAN in Argentina helps strengthen the ties between our two nations,” Milei remarked.
The head of the Executive Branch stressed that the relationship with Israel is not only “important” to him on a personal level but also significant for all Argentinians who have chosen to fight for freedom.
What is the ILAN Foundation
The founder of ILAN is Isaac Assa, a Jewish Mexican businessman who has been dedicated entirely to philanthropy for the past six years.
He is launching a branch in every country in Latin America to bring talented young Latinos to Israel, connecting them with the local innovation ecosystem of businesses, academia, and government.
ILAN already has branches in eight countries. In April, a branch was opened in Uruguay with the presence of local President Luis Lacalle Pou.
Isaac visited Israel when Milei traveled there in February, and it was there that he signed the agreement with Milei to establish the Argentine branch of the foundation.
