The municipal government, through its public services department, has announced its commitment to caring for 400 green areas within the urban landscape. This initiative involves six teams, each comprising 80 workers from the municipal department.
Alfredo Antuna, the deputy director of green areas, highlighted that thanks to coordinated efforts with the state’s public works department, several areas in need of maintenance have recently been revitalized. The primary goal is to enhance the condition of these spaces.
The government has focused on improving areas surrounding the exhibition center, aiming to elevate the overall environment leading to the venue. Antuna explained that these efforts are part of a broader initiative to ensure the area is well-maintained and welcoming.
Regarding irrigation systems, Antuna mentioned that these systems are currently inactive. However, recent rainfall has provided natural irrigation, benefiting the greenery without the need for additional water supply.
Within the exhibition facilities, Antuna noted that extra personnel have been assigned to enhance the appearance of these areas for tourists and visitors. This support will remain consistent throughout the celebratory events.
In conclusion, Antuna assured that the municipality will continue its diligent work on maintaining green areas. Efforts will be made consistently so that various spaces within the capital remain in good condition, in line with the directives of the municipal president, José Antonio Ochoa RodrÃguez.
