Nicola Porcella and Wendy Guevara have built a strong friendship since participating in “La Casa de los Famosos México,” where Wendy emerged as the winner. Recently, the duo returned to the reality show, this time as panelists, where they shared their thoughts and joked about the new season and the incoming contestants.

The current season kicked off on July 21 and features a diverse selection of well-known personalities competing for a spot in the house. Among the cast are Arath de la Torre, Sabine Moussier, Gala Montes, and Briggitte Bozzo.

Both Nicola and Wendy expressed their excitement as they returned as panelists, reminiscing about their own experiences in the reality show. Once the program concluded, they seized the opportunity to participate in a trending dance challenge. This dance is associated with TikToker Lis Padilla and features the song “Son de amores” by Andy y Lucas.

The pair shared videos on social media showcasing their energetic dance moves. In one clip, they were joined by other Mexican celebrities, all mimicking Lis Padilla’s choreography.

Through their videos, they joined the craze surrounding “Son de amores,” a trend that Lis Padilla, who was recently interviewed by Telemundo, ignited. She expressed surprise at her newfound popularity, saying, “I’m from the jungle, from the San Martín region. I never thought I’d become an influencer; the dance just happened spontaneously. I filmed it for Facebook and then shared it on TikTok, where it went viral.”

Lis Padilla has not only gained fame in Peru, but she has also been a guest in various media outlets. Reports indicate she now charges for interviews. During an episode aired on July 22, Magaly Medina mentioned that Padilla requested 1,000 soles for a brief interview.

Despite finding the request reasonable given her rise to fame, Magaly stated they couldn’t afford it. “We couldn’t cover the 1,000 soles she wanted because we didn’t have the budget,” she noted, adding that many people expect compensation for appearances.

Magaly emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities when they arise, reminding that fame can be fleeting. “She has to take advantage of her moment because trends come and go. It’s great that everyone wants her on their shows and is imitating her; she has turned into a phenomenon,” she remarked.

Lis, a resident of the San Martín region, became widely recognized for posting a tutorial on the dance to “Son de amores.” Never did she anticipate that her short video would gain such massive popularity and inspire countless recreations across various countries.

Today, Lis boasts over four million followers on TikTok. Even Luca, the singer of the original song, joined the trend, jokingly stating, “The dance is something else.”

However, Lis has recently faced a wave of criticism online after a video leaked where she discussed her rates for promotional content on TikTok. In the clip, she negotiates with a Lima-based entrepreneur, revealing her charges.

Lis explained that her rate of 8,000 soles is exclusive to brands looking to utilize her image for advertising purposes. She clarified that she doesn’t charge fans for photos or videos in public. “If a follower sees me and asks for a photo or video, I’m happy to oblige. I don’t charge any fees for that; it’s only for promotions,” she clarified, also mentioning that TikTok does not pay her for views.

Additionally, Lis accused a fake entrepreneur of trying to exploit her by leaking her pricing to the media, damaging her reputation. “I shared the amount trusting her, but the deal didn’t go through,” she stated.

“I’m not charging friends to make a video for a TikTok follower; that’s strictly for advertising… but I haven’t received payment for that either,” she concluded.
