Paola Durante breaks her silence on meeting Mario Bezares at LCDLFM

The second season of La Casa de los Famosos México is making waves due to the dynamic interactions among various personalities in the entertainment industry. The premiere night was filled with excitement and unexpected twists. Each celebrity not only faced their unique challenges upon entering but also had a surprise in the form of a fifteenth contestant.

Initially, there were 14 participants, but the celebrity who remained a secret until that moment was Paola Durante. She made a special entrance into the house, greeted by Adrián Marcelo in the "leader’s room." Marcelo then led her to meet the other contestants in the main courtyard. "I came for you; there’s someone who will be very happy to see you," Marcelo told her.

As they slowly descended the stairs towards the waiting group, Paola greeted them and shocked everyone with a bold statement upon reuniting with Mario Bezares. "They’ve locked us up again," she joked, referencing their shared past tied to the tragic murder of popular presenter Paco Stanley. Laughing, Mario responded, "No, but this time we chose to come."

The former colleagues embraced and exchanged feelings of excitement and encouragement, having taken a break from television for over two decades. After spending a day inside the house, both Paola and Mario shared their emotions about meeting again in a reality show setting.

"I was terrified, trembling. I didn’t know how everyone would react to the surprise. But when I saw Mario, I felt calmer. I was in shock… it wasn’t easy," confessed the Uruguayan model. Mario admitted he was genuinely surprised by her arrival, stating, "Seeing her was very emotional. My fellow contestants noticed we knew each other and moved aside to let me hug her. She whispered to me, ‘I’m scared.’ I welcomed her to the house."

During the first conversations that night, the topic of the controversial series ¿Quién lo mató? came up. This series had portrayed Paola and Mario as characters without their consent, leading to discussions about its portrayal of events surrounding Stanley’s death.

Mario voiced his concerns, saying, "This series claims to be based on true events, but it’s one percent real, nothing more." He reflected on how the portrayal left many looking bad—including the prosecutor—and insisted that it distorts the truth.

Paola shared her experience of facing backlash following the series’ release. "They fueled a lot of hatred. People believe it. I was in a supermarket with my sister, and someone pointed at me saying, ‘Oh, that’s the one from prison.’ I’ve gotten used to it, but my family hasn’t,” she explained.

The intensity of these past experiences can serve as a stark reminder of how public perception can be influenced by media portrayals, highlighting the complexity of reality television dynamics.
