Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are planning something very special to commemorate the 20th anniversary of The Simple Life. The two friends have reunited to film a special episode of their reality show and are eager to include their fans in the celebrations.
Paris, 43, shared the exciting news on her Instagram account. She wrote, "Hey guys, I just got home from filming with Nicole. As some of you know, we’re doing a special to celebrate the 20 years of our show, The Simple Life. It’s been so much fun, and we’re planning something really, really special. I thought the best place to find the people I want to be part of it is right here. Basically, Nicole and I are planning something iconic and fun. It’s going to be epic, and we want to invite our biggest superfans. I would like to ask you to make a video. Today, we were talking about how much we love all the fans. We adore seeing your TikToks, especially when you use different sounds from the show and dress up as us for Halloween. That show was so special—it’s filled with the best memories of my life. It was such an important part of our lives, and we want our fans to be involved."
While The Simple Life was a reality show, Paris has previously mentioned that she played a character during its airing. She expressed her frustration when people assumed that was how she behaved in real life. Paris explained, "I knew what I was doing, but the whole world didn’t, so it was a bit frustrating for me to be perceived that way, because I’m not like that at all. But it was such an amazing and entertaining show that I considered it simply entertainment. Obviously, I’ve grown as a person. I’m an adult now, but being judged and having so many misconceptions about a character I had created was frustrating. At the same time, I built a great brand from it. So I don’t regret it, and I’m happy that people can finally see this series."
Paris and Nicole, both 42 years old, starred in the show, which aired from 2003 to 2005 and followed their adventures in small, rural towns across the United States.
