Payments for the third cycle of Renta Joven announced: How to cash out via Daviplata

From July 24 to August 2, 2024, Prosperidad Social will initiate payments for the third cycle of the national Renta Joven program. This program is set to benefit 39,876 participants, including 22,182 women.

Daviplata will manage the payment process. The exact dates will be confirmed through the official communications channels of the national entity. Beneficiaries need to stay alert for the notification messages that will inform them of their transfers.

It’s now possible to follow updates through the WhatsApp Channel and on Facebook.

Young individuals without a bank account to receive payments can easily open one for free with the designated operator by following a few steps.

To activate their account, beneficiaries should download the app from the App Store or Google Play. They will then need to:

  • Enter their personal information and click ‘Continue’.
  • Take pictures of their ID, both front and back, for verification purposes.
  • Complete the information requested by the system.
  • Input the six-digit code sent to them via text, accept the terms and conditions, and select ‘Continue’.
  • Create a four-digit PIN for accessing the Daviplata platform.

For withdrawals, users can access funds 24/7 through ATMs or Daviplata partner locations. The process includes:

  • Logging into their Daviplata app.
  • Selecting the option to withdraw money and entering the desired amount.
  • Making sure the amount is a multiple of $10,000 and does not exceed $700,000.
  • Confirming the amount and waiting for a verification code to proceed with the withdrawal, noting that the code is valid for one hour.

To withdraw cash from an ATM, users should:

  • Select the Daviplata withdrawal option.
  • Enter the amount they want to withdraw.
  • Provide their mobile number.
  • Confirm the six-digit verification code sent via text.

For withdrawals at Daviplata locations, beneficiaries must bring their identification along with the withdrawal amount and the six-digit verification code.

According to Prosperidad Social, the departments with the most participants receiving payments in the third cycle include: Atlántico (5,052), Bogotá (3,773), Antioquia (3,556), Valle del Cauca (2,898), and Bolívar (2,861).

In 2024, student beneficiaries will receive transfers ranging from $200,000 to $400,000 for enrollment and other expenses. This isn’t the only assistance available to them.

Additional benefits include:

  • Enrollment in the program during its initial phase, which is determined by the duration of the training level for which the individual registered (complementary, technical, technologist, or professional).
  • The second phase of support starts upon graduation, with participants having up to a year to engage in available employment, entrepreneurship, and postgraduate education strategies.

Beneficiaries of Sena wishing to join the program must register by August 15. They need to be enrolled in a technical or technological training program, whether in-person, blended, or online. Active status in their training without academic or disciplinary conditions is also required. Each confirmed month of enrollment will yield a transfer of $200,000, distributed bi-monthly throughout the year.

The calendar for 2024 payments for subsequent cycles of the Renta Joven program is as follows:

  • Fourth cycle: August 26 to September 9 (enrollment for 2024-1 and Sena in April and May).
  • Fifth cycle: October 18 to November 1 (retention and excellence for IES 2024-1 and Sena in June and July).
  • Sixth cycle: December 17 to 31 (enrollment for IES 2024-2 and Sena in August and September).
